The question is, how to judge if an investment is a good investment? You cannot just look at the absolute Gain (or Loss). The absolute Gain (or loss) is determined by the amount of money invested combined with the length of time you hold that investment.
The compound "Annualized Rate of Return" is the most accurate criteria to judge if an investment is good or not. The bigger the Annualized Return, the better. After you know the Annualized Return of your investments, you can reallocate your investments efficiently to maximize your profit.
