Too many bugs and crashes. Doesn’t work at all.

Buggy, unstable, not something you can rely on….

After the update - You can do every conceivable maneuver- the App will not connect with the Iphone or the device. Basically a scam

You have to put your life savings at risk due to the open ended, we are in control and you pay indemnity clause in the terms and conditions.

You can do every conceivable maneuver- the App will not connect with the device. The device works well, but the Go! App simply will not connect, rendering this useless. Garmin and Zoleo actually work for texting, so I’d go there.

0 stars if it would be possible. The iridium go app - which is necessary for the operation of the not so cheap iridium go + subscription does not work at all on iOS 16. Definitely tried everything to get it to connect to the device but it just won’t work. This renders the iridium go basically useless. The mail app and predictwind offshore do work, interestingly enough. Get your stuff together iridium!

If I could give it a zero stars I would. I bought an Iridium Go! Unit three months ago in March 2022 to use on my first ocean and single-handed crossing from Panama to French Polynesia. The app sucked from day one, but I persisted on my iPhone 8. In addition to all the hassles others have described, the text is so small I simply could not use it, so I would write in Notes and copy and paste. Then I overloaded it with too many texts, I have the Unlimited plan, and it just got all screwed up. Only solution was to delete all threads and start afresh! And the Iridium unit itself just stops working about once a week, only way to restart is remove the battery and put it back in. I fully get that this is a slow and tricky satellite system, and the hardware is mostly amazing, but be very careful with the tiny external antenna plug and the tricky power plug. Then I fried my iPhone8 with seawater, and now my backup iPhone 7 simply will not connect to it, luckily I have a very old iPad that does. Simply pathetic for the roughly 1000 dollars the whole system cost, not to mention the monthly fee. Come on Elon, get us sailboat folk something better to compete with Iridium, maybe that will wake them up.

Nothing indicates to touch part of the graphic that looks like part of the art work. Why not just say go, OK, activate or finish? UFB! Device works after 3 days of tech support emailing, sending screenshot pics of gray satellite pic and reloading app over and over ALL because of this one check mark.

I just downloaded the app on my iPhone 12 Pro and it crashed 4 times in a row. What’s up with that???
