Iridium Mail & Web

There are annoying shortcomings and they have not been improved over the years. For instance big mails are shown without a Date and are now sorted alphabetically, which is of very limited usefulness. Prior to that big mails were sorted randomly. If you delete a big mail you get a confirmation that you have deleted some big mail without any specifics and therefore completely useless. It is surprising that an enterprise as big as Iridium does not spend the money to get a decent piece of software to the customers.

This app is easy to use and has served me well!

For 140 usd per month this app complete garbage. Ugly looking email client written by junior developer and no web at all. Why is it even called mail and web ?

I never was able to get this app to work. It's rather scandalous, given how expensive their service is.

Please don’t waste your money like I did. I rented one of these and it’s a joke. Stick with just a sat phone. Was on the phone with technical support for hours, just to get it to load...it never did when I was in the field with it.

The design looks to me made with Word Perfect i’m 1995. The email viewer can event scroll or format text correctly (breaks up links, can’t copy/paste correctly). This might just the worst app I’ve ever used, and I’ve used a few. I’m paying $160/month for this?

I installed the Mail & Web app on my iPhone, and it does not work. I have been back and forth between Predict Wind support and Iridium support, and neither has been able to help me. Iridium said an outside app developer controls it, and I don’t know how to contact the outside developer. I’m thinking about returning my newly purchased Iridium Go device.

I can't retrieve emails with this app. What have you done?

Each new release seems to introduce more bugs than they fix. They are slow to correct problems. Testing is left to the user. No way to back out a bad version of the app.

The new 3.0.2 update is a complete fail. My iPad automatically updated the app and now I am unable to connect with Iridium at all. We are on a boat in the Bahamas and depended on the Iridium Go when we do not have cell service. We are paying for a service we cannot use. Please fix it!
