Love the graphic. Enjoy the storyline. Have a lot of fun playing. Just a real first-class game.
Not enjoyable when you purchase a game only to have the dev push extra purchases from the first level of play. Don’t be so greedy.
My son and I really love the Ironhide games. We have all of them from Kingdom Rush to Iron Marines. And we’ve always paid full price for them at launch. But this one has you paying $1 up front, and then it annoys you with paying for more troops. I’d rather pay $8-10 up front and get a complete game than pay $1 and get nickel and dimed on a paywall game. I’ll be getting a refund on this one.
Just play the first iron marines on apple arcade the second one is too grindy. Iron hide thank you for reading my review and asking for a response. I’ll go over the main problems of the game and come up with work arounds. I mentioned that the game felt to grindy this is because the hero system only feels important after you have more than one hero at level ten. This is because the most unique aspects of these heroes are only unlocked after you have completed the game or if you grind a certain level over and over again. This results in a feeling that your decisions before you start combat don’t matter. Even If you have beaten the game and have all hero’s at level ten there isn’t much left to do you can replay the story on impossible which feels tiresome after a short time, or you can play the game spec ops missions. These missions are a great idea on paper but the most fun missions involve destroying the enemy command center which requires planning ahead, resource management, as well as general game sense. The problem is there are only so many variations of these missions. My idea behind fixing this is replacing the current leveling system with one that levels up your hero during a stage starting at level 1 and eventually getting to level 10 and once you start a new stage you restart back at level 1. While you level up you choose between a few different perks or abilities in order to add replay value and have the player have a flexible strategy that could work with any team build. For example many missions start with a resource cap of 50. This limits you because it requires you to bring a troop that costs 50 or less. Or you can gain an ability on your hero at level 2 that gives them the ability to summon their own mini troop with the cost of 50 or less resources depending on the hero. Or pick a perk that has your hero preform better with less troops on the field. Or a special attack that costs resources to use. This system gives the player a flexible strategy that can work with any team build and has replay value while also removing the grindy aspects of the game. Thank you for reading my response and I hope for the best for your careers moving forward.
