ISBN Scan - OCR/BarcodeScanner

I tried a few other apps before this and they either wanted me to subscribe or had very little functionality. This app does exactly what I want it to do for free and it does it very well. It was designed very intuitively as well. Thank you to the person who made this. You have helped me out a lot!

How do you manually enter a pre-isbn book?

Our use is to QC the ISBN barcodes on our Atlases, and track inventory, seems to work perfectly, and very fast Keeps a scanner in all employees pockets!

Literally opened the app, gave it camera access, held it up to the first ISBN barcode….it just sits there. Nothing you click on activated scan, it doesn’t auto recognize a bar code in front of it (like every good scanner app does). Don’t know if it’s just out of date or what, but it doesn’t do anything. Would give it zero stars if I could. Don’t bother with this.

The other ISBN scanners required an account. This app does not. It works fine and allows you to share (export) just what you need.

Scanned the barcode and then it froze and didn’t do anything.

This is the only book organizer I could find that scans the ISBN number and OCRs it. I have many old books that have no barcode. But the organizer part needs work. Categories are really needed. You can create different bookshelves but that is not natural or automated enough. I'm glad I can export CSV files to share with other apps. Some apps can't even do that.

Waste of time

Among ISBN scanners, as long as you keep the magnifying in low percentage this is the only ISBN scanner app that will do OCR scans of ISBN numbers from say the copyright page without bar codes!! That feature is incredibly valuable when cataloging older books without ISBN bar codes but still having an assigned ISBN number. I have tried several other ISBN scanners as part of book databases and no other app does this. With your list of ISBN numbers you shared with yourself, put them all in one paragraph 10 at a time separated by commas and do mass bibliography look ups for free at ottobib.com, another unassuming app kind of thing. This present apps makes mistakes but still is amazingly accurate!
