Just doesn’t work. Tried to check in for 2 days and keeps saying flight has been cancelled. Go online and works fine! After checking in online, thought I’d use the app for keeping an eye on flight status, again told flight doesn’t exist, and yet I have an e-boarding card from their website! Waste of time.

I am unable to log in to my flight details. There is no specific login for non-members, so I have to input ALL of these details: - last name - first name - airline - flight number - boarding date - reservation number Then it comes up with an error!!!! ‘Reservation number should not contain 1 or 0’ when I have entered the correct number (which has NO 1’s or 0’s). Terrible user experience - don’t bother wasting your time, just phone them!

I can find my booking online but when trying to add it to the app it keeps saying temporarily unavailable. Not a good app compared to other airlines.

Terrible user experience. Tried to find my booking, it couldn’t find it. After several tweaks and tries, it turns out that I had to put my first name as my last name and last name as the first name. Once the booking was found I could see clearly on the booking page that actually name order is correct, first name as first name. Tried to add frequent flyer number from British Airways and from Japan Airlines Miles Bank but it kept saying the number is invalid, or the number doesn’t match my name in the records, I literally tried all possible combinations but no luck. JAL has one of the worst airlines websites ever. The translation to English which is supposedly done by AI sometimes doesn’t make any sense. Any operation on the site takes nearly 30 seconds and there are way too many errors without explanations.

This looks like it might have sone value for solo travellers, but having booked flights for all our family, the app only allows me to see my own ticket, I’ll still need to check in and print out everyone else’s tickets outside the app, makes this pretty pointless.

When I booked my return tickets to Tokyo for this year, I also booked some domestic flights. I expected to see all of my bookings. I am wrong. I am aim allowed to see my domestic flights. Useless!

In the days of modern, functional airline apps, the JAL app really stands out. It is, without doubt, the biggest waste of time I’ve come across in some time. Can’t find my booking - but easily found online. Why bother building an app when it adds no benefit? Just get rid of it.

Waste of time, can’t even bring up my reservation !
