Just the Recipe: Cook smarter

How many recipe apps have I tried? Too many! But finally I've found the one I've been looking for. I used and liked the Whisk before Samsung turned it from a simple but effective recipe app into a social media app and promptly forgot the needs of all the people that made Whisk popular. JustTheRecipe does everything in one place through a simple but effective interface. Key features that lead me to buy a subscription: - Free version lets you create/import 20 recipes, more than enough to see if its for you - Import recipe from a URL (works 99% of the time) - Portion Control (want to try a recipe but not have to make the 16 portions in the recipe? Just dial down the number of portions to see the ingredient amounts reduce proportionately (have to subscribe for this feature, but well worth it) - Intelligent conversion to Metric units - Seamless sync between IOS app and the website - Subscriptions are reasonably priced - $22.99 for 1 year (compare that to $12.99 per month for Samsung Food) Like most people on this planet I live in the Metric World. When I see a recipe that calls for 1tsp of paprika, it is really NOT helpful to see that converted to 4.93 ml of paprika. Whoever made that conversion has obviously never been in a kitchen to cook. It is things like that that have stopped me (and everyone else in the Metric World) from buying into US made recipe apps. Finally JustTheRecipe has made a seamless, on-the-fly conversion that doesn't cause frustration. If you have recipes then you know the journey I have been on looking for a simple but effective solution for storing and working with recipes. This service is a lifesaver- especially around the holidays! ADHD makes it hard to focus on anything anyway, so removing all the nonsense from the page makes it so much more realistic and manageable to cook from a recipe!

Great app, has to be one of my go to apps, as I love spending time in the kitchen. It makes keeping track of all my recipes easy. And grabbing recipes off annoying blogs a breeze. I am excited to see what new features they add in the future.

Immediately love this app! So easy to use and makes recipes so easy to read.

I love the app for its removal of all the junk so we can get just the recipe. I wish there was a way to organize the recipes alphabetically. I also would love to not have to ‘allow’ the app to paste a link every time (that could just be settings, need to explore more).

This app does what I need it to do and is constantly improving.

I have used this app for about 2.5 seconds and immediately fell in love and upgraded to the yearly plan. This is a game changer!

This is the best app. I get so frustrated reading recipes on the web. So many ad pop ups and videos. You send the recipe to the app (easy simple instructions). All you have is the recipe. I cannot say enough. It is Fantastic!!

Hate the adds on google and Pinterest. Not all recipes will let transfer to this app happen but when they do it's fantastic!
