The BEST password manager application out there for you using iOS?
I have used the KeePassium for a month or so on day basis. After endless tests and reviews of other password managers out in the market, non of them is coming close to the flexibility that the keepass solution provides. The thing that makes KeePassium stand out is that they do not “lock” the users the their solution in any way. Not price or infrastructure! The thing is that KeePassium relies on other services to sync your vault if you need that accessibility over for example google drive or onedrive, and non of the parties have the possibility to see your secret credentials. But if you want to be “savvy” you can sync the vault locally and the KeePassium will keep a on-device copi to sync afterwards. If I shift my focus back to the app itself it’s pretty clear that the developer has put a lot of effort in to the software. After heavy use I haven’t come across any issues related to the app. If you do things right when it comes to your choice of syncing the vault, you should be all set to go. It finds the related credentials to the right url and it’s as easy as any other password manager to create passkeys on your phone. If it’s anything to add could mention that I wish that the passkey’s is getting stored in a specific location right after creating them. But I don’t think that this is something the developer decides, rather the keepass itself. And it seems that you can’t open every file extension within KeePassium that I otherwise could do inside keepassxc on the computer. But if you keep the file type to pdf’s or plain text, you should not have any problems. The last thing of possible improvements I want to add is the possibility to configure the timeout lock on every vault(db) independently, and not just as a “global/universal” setting that have to apply to every vault. Who would I recommend this app for? Maybe not my mum og dad (age 50+), but certainly more tech savvy persons that have to sync login credentials between different operating systems, and like having full control of their data. Unfortunately as the keepass solutions don’t fit everyone in terms of convenience, I can’t guarantee that KeePassium will be the right solution for you necessarily. But as I speak only for myself, I can say that I do pay for the premium plan by choice, as I believe in the developer’s ethical standards and I want see further development in the software. I also want to add that KeePassium is free of charge, licensed as open source, and can’t even if they wanted you rest
