Keto Cycle: Keto Diet App

I downloaded this app and paid $7 for a one-week trial. After less than an hour of exploring, I realized it wasn’t useful for me and canceled my subscription immediately. Despite canceling, I was charged $31 after the trial ended. This feels misleading and unfair.

Nicely laid out app easy to use. The weekly meal plans are beautiful just wish there were a few options like changing meals out. Selecting your protein choice and the meal built around that.

I purchased this app a year ago, along with a personal Fitness plan in my receipt. It never says that this is a renewing membership in their FAQs on their website. They claim that if you delete the app, cancel your membership, which is not true. I found this app difficult to use and stopped using it.

You have to email their email address and then they reply with oh you have to do all these steps in order to unsubscribe which you’re gonna have to login with the password which you can’t remember if you can’t remember it who does when you try to reset your login password they don’t send you anything

Haven’t used the app in months, noticed a pending $55 charge to my card (meaning it only just renewed) and immediately reached out to customer service. They offered me 25% refund at first. Then 50% when I pushed and finally I settled for 75%…. For an app I don’t use. I have never had an issue requesting a refund for an auto renewal for a service I had not used for a long time (example: jazzercise online gave me a full refund immediately with zero hassle). Would have considered resubscribing down the line but not after this. Do not waste your money on this app. ps: I lose respect for a company immediately when they make unsubscribing the most difficult thing in the world.

I have no subscription in my Apple subscription section this app, there is no place in the app to cancel. Now a year after I initially gave it a try and it sucked. No message of recurring or upcoming payment of some kind. Nothing. Not to mention they tried to charge my card from eu.ketocycle.diet, support.ketocycle.diet, ketocycle.diet…. They tried to hit my card 7 times one got through the others declined. They are a scam and make it difficult to cancel that’s a huge red flag!!!!

If you’re only looking for recipes and meal planning, this app is great. If you want one app that lets you track movement and food, and prefer to find your own recipes, I’d go elsewhere. Exercise is a big part of my keto plan, and this app only tracks workouts that they sell you for an additional fee, and it tracks steps. Runner? Nope. Weight lifting? Nope. I think it’s cleverly designed to get people to buy into the full program (for more). It seemed shady that I had to purchase the app, and THEN see that it’s more for supplemental things such as workout suggestions. To top it off, when I did their workout, it said I burned 0 calories. Don’t you technically have to be deceased to burn 0 calories? Tracking is easy if you only make their meals, but the search for ingredients to create your own meals has some extra steps that make it less convenient. It will do, but I’m not excited.

I like this app for the tracking capabilities it offers and some of the menus are really strong. Most of the time I skip the assigned meals and log my own since I don’t have the budget for the wide variety of groceries that the meals require. It really takes the guess work out of keto. For me personally, the most valuable part of this app is being able to log and track your progress. I guess you could do that on your own with pen and paper but I’m addicted to my phone so this helps me. It’s probably overpriced for what it offers, but it’s working for me so far.

Easy to follow app plan

Customer service stinks. Don’t do what I did and buy the subscription. I forgot about it and they didn’t remind me before renewal. (Most don’t, I get that, but the subscription isn’t in Apple so it got missed). I couldn’t even find the subscription info in the app so I had to contact them. They won’t issue a refund. Feels like a scam.
