Maybe the app is nice point.I cannot tell because it keeps important features behind the pay wall. Unless I share the app I cannot see if it does what I want to do at all. I was mainly interested in managing my own recipes.

Writing this cause latest update has my app crashing 100% of the time. The page flickers on and then closes. Hope there’s a fix coming
I like the way this organizes the inventory of my kitchen pantry. The more spices, condiments, oils, vinegars, etc. you put in, the better the recipe suggestions. So do not leave out a single spice or ingredient in your kitchen. One feature I particularly love is when I delete an ingredient because I’ve used it or had to throw it out, it will be added to my shopping list. A feature I wish this had is to filter by breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. There needs to be more variety of cuisines, particularly American cuisine (north, western, Midwest, and southern), sandwiches ideas, snack ideas, and more dessert ideas. Some ingredients are hard to bring up, like canned pineapple, but when I saw it as a missing ingredient during a recipe search, I saw that it was listed as canned crushed pineapple. Adding a recipe by hitting the menu icon works well for all meals except breakfast. For some reason, after I select breakfast, it won’t take. Please improve this. When adding a recipe to the planner, it resets the search, it would be nice if it didn’t do that. I’d like to resume where I was in my search. Being able to heart or favorite a recipe helps alleviate this issue. Overall, I’m enjoying this app!
Overall, I would say that the app is a little bit slow, but I know it’s searching a whole database full of different foods. I really like that I can switch to storage for you so I can know that I have pantry items or fridge items. The fridge items are the ones that go off quite quickly. I would like to be able to enter the actual expiration date instead of saying six months one month a year. In one case I had to add an item. It was a store brand dressing and it expires in less than a year but over nine months so I chose nine months just to tell me. I sort of want notifications of expiring through this, but on the other hand, I don’t know how diligent I will be even entering that information. I went through a few applications, and I think this one is the one that’s going to stick. I hope it’s quite the feet to go through my entire pantry and scan everything but at least we can scan, that is a huge bonus.
We use the app to monitor inventory for an assisted living group home and have multiple staff who handle the inventory regularly. This app has allowed us to simply scan and delete as items are received and used and monitor levels while managers are away from the house. Absolutely love the ease of using this app and how quick we can get everything scanned in so we can get back to caring for our residents. You won’t be disappointed paying for the premium membership
In a household with 2 ADHD adults who love food and love to impulse shop, this has been a big help in managing our kitchen inventory so we don’t overbuy. We can review what’s available in the depths of the deep freeze so we don’t lose any fingers. We’re more likely to cook at home with the recipes and planner functions than decide we don’t have anything at the house and order takeout instead. We already had a shared grocery list, but that’s been replaced too since KitchenPal has the shared shopping list included (with the auto add function for when we use the last of an item). The cherry on top is that it works great on my iPhone and on my husband’s android!
Thought this would be the perfect app to track my pantry. The problem is when there is more than one person and having to monitor quantities, removing foods used in cooking and entering food purchased. It is just way too much work. I haven’t figured out a good way to best utilize it. I do like the recipe feature though!
Love this app. Actually a time saver.
Me and my boyfriend use this app religiously. It helps us figure out what we have at home and what we can plan for dinner, all through text and from our separate workplaces. The offer of a lifetime subscription is very convenient, cutting out the hassle and expense of a monthly fee. The subscription is not required and the app is still great without it, but we like it so we can upload our own recipes to the app. As for correspondence, emails with questions and requests are responded to in a very timely manner. My only note would be to add widget options. It'd be very cool to see the meal schedule or inventory on my Home Screen.
Great app but it can take three or four tries to scan a barcode. In checking the barcode numbers, the wrong numbers come up, so I have to repeatedly rescan. Once it gets the numbers correct, the item comes up from the database. Please fix this as it is the only thing from making this app perfect.
