Koala Sampler

I have been messing around with samplers, grooveboxes and daws for years and until recently I had settled on Maschine. That was until I downloaded Koala. I’ve been playing with this now for a couple of weeks and I doubt I will mess with anything else again. Ii’s pretty much transformed my iPad into an sp404 but with a better interface.

I had no idea how good iOS music apps had got. With midi out and now quokka synth, this app slaps. Combined with AUM, you start getting some really interesting possibilities. You would have to spend a lot to get a sampler that did everythig this app does

Loving the app! the expansions are vital and add every possible feature that you could require. Workflow is super smooth and loving the incremental updates with the internal synth being added. Best music making app on any store period.

At 63 this is gonna take some learning, but there’s plenty on YouTube and it’ll be worth it. Can’t wait.

Simplicity is key with Koalas design and features. Less is more rings true for this sampler. Priced fairly and with regular updates makes this a very exciting app. 100% recommended

Koala is quite easily the best sampler available on iOS. So much fun, for so little money. A must, for any producer.

Quick to get sampling. Fast loading app, then just press and hold a empty sample pad and you’re recording. You can create a complete track. It’s there ready to quickly capture inspiration when it strikes. It’s a powerful app but easy to use. The children love to play with it but don’t let that fool you into thinking this is a toy because it’s not, but it is a lot of fun to use. It’s a must have pro bit of kit. There are more complex dedicated samplers on the app store that are more for sound designers but it’s unfair to compare Koala to them as they are the equivalent to a single pad in Koala, and require other apps and or equipment to use them. Part of a much more complex setup more about sound design than capturing inspiration. These apps are samplers but not about sampling in the way a lot of us think when you hear people talking about samplers. Koala is what you expect a sampler to be. If you need a sampler Koala is a must have. It’s all about the art of sampling and letting your creativity flow. And if you want to go beyond what Koala can do it’s export options are great.

After installing stems feature my iPhone started restarting 2.5 mins repeating..until eventually I deleted this app bug went away x I’m going to reinstall and see x Also reset the phone to no joy until app removal x
