Funny that iOS tutorial app itself cannot make good app. Buggy app
Even after getting getting subscription, not able to view all video. It refuse to play video after 4th video 🤪. Feels like teacher himself forget the basic concept

The app crashes a lot in the middle of a tutorial video. Downloaded tutorial videos don’t play. Sometimes bookmarks aren’t stored and tutorial progress is lost. Pretty disappointing from a company that’s supposed to teach “good” coding.
This apps is useful only if the download feature works, but I doesn’t. More than 300Gb free, max pro iPhone 11, 100 Gbits speed and still is not able to save more tag 4 p 5 episodes of a complete tutorial. Even if you maintain the app in the foreground. Super bad for an app that teaches how to program, this app is embarrassing
I paid for the pro subscription but downloading videos and bookmarking does work. Also there is no sync between the app and web so if you watch something on the web or bookmark a video it won’t show any progress or bookmark in the app.
Where are the books?
Can't say how good this app is since I can't get past entering my email or user ID since there is no place to enter a password. Just the Next button (which doesn't do anything). Been a member since 2016. So I thought I needed to create a new account, but of course my email and user ID are already taken. Oh well...
There is a way to download a video including subtitles. to later watch it offline?
I like to watch developer videos while working out, as it helps me pass the time and learn something. Such as WWDC sessions or YouTube sessions. Would be great if you could make an AppleTV app..right now limited to clumsy airplay or limited selection of free YouTube videos
I am surprised that an actual app from Raywenderlich would be this bad and limited. I forced myself to buy the pro subscription due to internet issues from raywenderliches websites end so that I could download the videos and continue watching... but most of the time downloads do not even start and instead whirl around forever if selecting the option to download the entire video course. And selecting each video one by one is a huge pain due the interactive boxes for the buttons being way to small causing many taps to start the video instead of downloading. It also doesnt help that theres the built in mini game where you have to avoid touching when the download button flashes into a warning image. Simple useful UI is missing that is available from their site as well, such as learning paths. Videos lists fail to show in the Library tab and the search their is also fairly bad as it jumps around while searching. Small gripe... Why was the default for video speed set to 1.5? Took me a while to figure out it was not a bug but instead something I could change via a setting cog in one of the three tabs... All in all gives me less trust for the very videos that teach how to build apps like this.
For a ray wenderlich app you expect excellence and not this mess. It says videos are downloaded but they clearly aren’t because they will not play. The warning for being offline stays there for a long while with a crossmark instead of dismissing itself. You can’t switch tabs while the video is loading. If you do while the video is paused, the app will crash.
