Konsensus: Trakt & Letterboxd

This is the best app for tracking both movies and TV Shows, I would love it if in future updates the shows i added to watch later would automatically change to watching because sometimes i forget to look for shows i added to watch later. And i also would love it if they could have a separate section for just upcoming shows. a section for shows premiering each month or shows returning this month. And i wish it was easier to check an episode as watched.

I have tried many many of these types of apps. This is one of my favorites! It excels in almost all areas, from search, to keeping track of your shows, to helping you find your next favorite, etc. If I had to make a few suggestions, I’d ask for more than one trailer. Some apps have multiple trailers and I appreciate that. Also in search, if you could add a way to search by genres, I would appreciate that as well. I do love this app… so much so that I already purchased a lifetime subscription. Keep up the GREAT work! Cheers 🍻

That system level behavior such as contextual menus and dark mode is locked behind a paywall

Amazing job on this app! Just waiting on more features, like Letterboxd integration. And it would be cool if when I follow an actor or studio for example, I could get a custom feed or notification for their new movies and shows. Otherwise I don’t see the point in following them. Just an idea!

Konsensus Review Redux This is a review that is a lot more focused on what Konsensus has to offer, than one related to what should be added. There are three main qualities of Konsensus (there are plenty, but let's focus on the most important), and those are speed, presentation and cost. Speed : Konsensus is very fast, even on older devices. I was surprised at how fast it was. The content (TV shows, Movies, settings) loads almost instantly and that is especially useful when you want to quickly view the latest content, such as trending actors/actresses. Presentation : When Konsensus is opened, immediately you are greeted with an inviting design, with very little bombardment of joining pro. The next thing is the sidebar, which shows a very generous amount of features that are free, such as watch later and reviews. The final thing to note is how many different bits of information you can view about a particular show or movie. My favorite part is viewing the cast and seeing what else they appear in. Cost : Cost is very important to more than a handful of people and Konsensus has a lot of features that are free. What I like about this is that the app is not stripped down to the point of being a shell of an app with nag screens galore. For a low cost, you can use a large portion of the features and zero popups. I know that I didn't mention widgets, but so many apps have widgets and I wanted to focus on what sets Konsensus apart from the rest. I hope more people get to enjoy this app in their free time and I hope you enjoyed my review.
