Kosmi

To keep this short and simple, i haven’t really had any issues with this app…i’m having trouble screen sharing videos on my laptop, but it plays local files for me with no problem..great app for watch parties!

The last update is a definite improvement with regard to being able to see chat easier :) A request: please add picture-in-picture! Some nitpicks: 1- On iOS, when one is using audio for chat, the mic stops working if you switch to another app in the foreground, so even though you can still hear the other people in chat or the media playing, they cannot hear you. 2- Every time any other audio comes through — a phone call, an alarm, media autoplaying on other apps — it disrupts the audio in Kosmi. Usually it only interrupts the microphone, but sometimes it disrupts all the audio, and the app has to be restarted entirely to get it going again. 3- Lastly, going from wifi to data or vice versa, upon connection or disconnection to wifi, it disconnects and says that you’re already in this room on another device even though I do not have Kosmi up in another device or browser, and has to be restarted to connect again.

It’s stuck with showing reconnect but never reconnects. It’s time for this app to get an update. Last update was 6 months ago.

I don’t know why this app is even available! I have an iPhone 12 and downloaded this app from the App Store... All good, so far— yeah, right. Except for the fact that ALL I get on my phone is the icon (that does nothing), it won’t launch or allow me in!

The app does not work. You open the app and then you are indefinitely stuck on the kosmi logo.

App doesn’t work. Can’t join existing rooms.

No matter what I enable or disable, it just says over and over that “Your browser does not support screensharing with audio, please switch to google chrome.” Even though Im in the app. Even when im in chrome. Completely broken

Condensing down the screenshare option to now Only be available in a “Watch Patty” room format was an extremely poor decision. It is now completely impractical for mobile users, both app and browser, to chat with others during the stream, as it requires opening a different tab that almost completely obscures the streaming content. Terrible and isolating to a large portion of the userbase. I’ve used Kosmi for years; I’ll be seeking alternative options now.
