The KUOW App:
The KUOW App allows you to listen to KUOW, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for KUOW FM. You can listen to KUOW and NPR Podcasts whenever you want, and send messages to the station.

• Integrated program schedules for KUOW streams.
• One click stream switching — flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single tap.

Podcasts
• Easy access to KUOW's past programs.
• Full description and links to the KUOW webpage versions of each story or episode.
• DVR-like controls. Pause, rewind and fast forward your program with ease.
• When listening to programs, individual stories or episodes (when available) are listed so you can review and choose one or listen to the entire program.

Additional features
• Share stories and programs with family and friends via the “Share” button.
• Built-in Sleep Timer and Alarm Clock allow you to go to sleep and wake up to your favorite station.
• Send the station a voice mail or video message via the “Talk to Us” feature!

Great app for not only the local and National news, but also the fun shows like “wait wait…” and “says you”. I use it everyday.

My go to resource for audio news and I am generally always pleased with the schedule. Diverse with both creative features and programs to complement the daily news cycle. Investigative journalism is very much appreciated for context and deeper understanding. People and their global stories enrich my connection to many parts of the world beyond my backyard.

The in depth info I need

KUOW keeps me updated on local and national news. It is the best easiest way to stay informed. I feel like the hosts are my friends and I trust them.

Improved but too many ads

The recently updated App is definitely an improvement. The UI is much updated & works more smoothly, info & shows can be accessed easily or searched for. Though Search could be improved it often is general & not granular, it’s 2024 and Search should be detailed with filtering or prompts to refine. My biggest consistent complaint is as an Evergreen donator I am barraged with Ads every. Single. Time. I want to play ANY content. Livestream mostly, but casts & articles etc. Most annoying is if you take a call, do something else on your phone, you often have to start all over with the ads. Sometimes not tho. So there must be a way! It’s inconsistent, annoying and as with most media paywalls if you subscribe you should get less ads.

Thanks for the 6.2.8 update! More responsive, old bugs gone, better UX all around. Great update!!!

Needs some work

Keeps restarting about every 15 minutes which is annoying as I miss some of the news or story. I’ve turned phone off and on as well as deleted and reinstalled app to no avail.

App unreliable

Do not like this app. It is difficult to use and times out or replays annoying ads. Almost impossible to start from an iPhone.

Great app to listen to local and national news

Love that I can get the latest Seattle and national newscasts in one location
