Kyte has top quality service from beginning to end. And, twice I have accidentally left something in the car and they reached out to me so I could retrieve it. I love their service and their honesty and their cars are wonderful as well. A person named Jini followed up on my lost item and made sure everything was taken care of. They have a loyal customer in me!

It’s a really good service. Cars are good, app is good, etc. However, customer support is understaffed, and you need to go through a convoluted “chat” ticketing system to get a callback. I’m supposed to look at my phone and chat with a “co-pilot” while I’m driving a car? That’s a total abuse of the term “co-pilot”. It’s actively dangerous. Plus, callbacks can take up to an hour. It’s beyond belief that a car rental company doesn’t have a call center to assist drivers. I understand that you’re a Bay Area tech company and that you ideally hope not to employ anyone to do anything, and the best case scenario is it’s all just AI and code and you just milk massive profit off your webscale mad gainz tech bro business, but yeah, this may be one of the worst place to have cut corners, other than cutting brake lines or something.

Cars are consistently dropped off with issues and they will try to charge you for them. The “surfers” will deceptively take a picture of the dashboard when no issues are flashing and try to pin any fixes needed on the renter. Stay away from this company at all costs.

Horrible Experience - Stay Away from KYTE Rental! I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with KYTE Rental. Despite sending all the required documentation they requested over 24 hours in advance, I received an email just hours before my reservation stating that my documentation was “insufficient” and that my card was declined. In a panic, I sent the additional documentation they asked for right away, hoping to resolve the issue. Instead of fixing the problem, I was hit with a cancellation notice from the chat representative I contacted. This last-minute cancellation ruined my entire trip, costing me my hotel reservation and forcing me to cancel an important meeting. The lack of professionalism, clear communication, and accountability from KYTE is appalling. Their disorganized and unhelpful service left me stranded and scrambling to make alternative arrangements, which was impossible on such short notice. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs. This was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Let me know if you’d like to tweak it further!

rent from a company you know better than something You don’t know. Bad communication, very bad customer service, and false advertisements

I booked online for Thanksgiving trips in nyc. Cost me $360 for one hour rescheduling, only showing $25 fee on app. 100% fraud charges and rly bad customer service. DO NOT USE KYTE!!! You’ll thank me later.

extremely outrageous your team decided to block my account? I always bring the car back on time, never had any claims, losses or disputes yet when I ask for an explanation as to why, you give me 0 answers. I thought I finally found a rental agency that wasn't shady but clearly I was wrong. Use sixt or Avis at this point. Never again!

There are more charges than there were a few years ago. They charge for drop off and pick up when it used to be free, but they don’t use enough of those fees to pay the “surfers” as they say it’s for. Instead you still get prompted to supplement their pay yourself. Then they hold $300-$500 for 24 hours depending on type of card and say it’s for unforeseen circumstances, but that’s why we pay for insurance! Rental costs in general have gone up as well. This just isn’t the deal it used to be. I’ll go back to the more established rental car providers.

This is a lifesaver service for people live far from rental lots or the airport. Also no membership cost like zip just the car rental price. Also they sometimes have really affordable prices. Use my code if you want $30 off on your first rental. vanessau1
