When scanning the symbols the app sees some symbols double, sees the wrong temperature, doesn’t see the number of points in the iron wrong, etc. So the efficiency of the scanning has to be improved heavily.

Just doesn’t work. The UI hangs as soon as you try to do anything. It’s useless.

I agree with the other review that sometimes it picks the wrong temperature number or misses some of the symbols. I just started using the search and edit feature. it would be nice if you could search for symbols and read what they say without adding them to your camera results. But it still helps me a lot to have all of the symbols in one place. I wish there was a way to do the search and get to the results without having to swipe the window down, because I think if it doesn’t find something with the camera, it won’t actually allow you to see the instructions from a manual search. Having said all of that, even with having to do a couple searches and lock manually, at least I have an easier way of helping myself figure out how to wash various types of clothes correctly.

Glad to have this little app to fill in the gap. It would be great to have info showing for just browsing the symbols. Right now, it’s just doing selection. I don’t like the camera scanning, because it’s too error-prone. One big step forward is having symbol drawing recognition. Something like DeTeXt. Take users scribbles as input and output the labels and meanings, with higher to lower probability.
