Lex: Queer & LGBTQ+ Friends

I’m all down for this app but within a 50 mile radius of me, 90% of posts and available groups are women? Was hoping to talk to some fellow bi men but have no luck! Definitely an major imbalance of gender on here, nothing to do with the app really, but just be mindful before downloading. Only reason why I’m rating it a 2 star.

I wish the app descriptor and imagery did not use the word ‘queer’. This is a slur, one I often heard growing up used negatively against me. It is one several friends of mine heard before they were beaten in the street. Please stop using it so freely. I do not accept any argument about it having been reclaimed as a term of empowerment and inclusion. It is similar to the N-word for many in Europe, and I would appreciate it being removed from casual usage. Thanks.

With every new update expect the app to be non-usable. Your posts are limited and the greedy (cis, white, straight) developers find new ways to make the app pay to play every fortnight. The app is no longer for queer people to socialise since the creepy men found out about it and all the true queers realised. Oh, and every other post is just people outright asking for illegal substances - is this a honeypot?

i’m not too sure how lex is for dating, but for making local queer friends and finding a community, it’s amazing. my medium sized english town that i thought was totally queer unfriendly now has a lex group chat of over 30+ members and we’ve done multiple meet-ups. they’re all brilliant! thank you to the group chat feature. my only issue with the app is the post limit. i understand why it’s there, to avoid spam, but 6 posts per month is too few. spam is uncommon and all that seems to happen is people join the app, get really excited, use up their limit and leave the app within a week or two. similarly, i’ve seen people join the app and immediately complain that they might only see one post a day. i’ve noticed a handful of users, myself included, get excited that lex could be a queer twitter, especially now that twitter is such a hostile space towards queer people, only to be disappointed that it’s not really possible. i understand if the devs don’t want to take the app in that direction, but i think increasing the post limit at least slightly would benefit everyone! P.S. please fix how links function! at least include a button to open them in an external browser.

This app would have gotten a 5 stars from me but I believe some improvements can be made. I’m a new user to the app and was on there for a day until my account was banned for reasons unknown. I wrote in and no one is getting back to me.

Don’t bother! They remove posts for no reason whatsoever ever and ban accounts for no reason what so ever! They completely removed my account because I support bodily autonomy! Seriously?!

Lex is broken and won’t let me see my messages or click on anything. Please help been like this since yesterday I’ve had to delete it as it’s playing up. Please sort it out. Thank you

Lex is so much more than a typical dating app - it really feels like a community to me and I’ve met some wonderful people through it. Con: it can be a little debilitating if you don’t live in a big city. Pro: the post format!

Can you add lex to other devices like a laptop etc please? My mum has restricted access to the app :( (im @twistedsibling if I remember correctly i have rio romeo and how to find myself etc on the account and ive talked with some amazing people on there just watch out for scammers and other people bc someone asked me if i wanted a sugar parent but it was sorted out bc i reported them :)
