Subscribed to the app for 12 months but their system doesn’t recognize my subscription and blocked me from using by saying “like what you see, then subscribe…”. That being done, it still won’t get past that dumb message. Really crappy help support. You wait for every for pre-written response. And when you try to engage they go radio silent!! It’s now been three days without a response. Have to cancel and get a refund. Don’t waste you time with this app.

The content is probably helpful but the voice in the French language is awful and robotic. Poor quality compared to the real and natural voices in Babbel. There’s better elsewhere.
There is no free version. The first lesson (about 15 minutes of content) is free, but anything after that you need a subscription. I downloaded it assuming that the free version would have ads or some locked features, I didn’t expect it to be completely unusable. Disappointed and uninstalling.
Great app that has a lot of features to explore. Has been great for my German vocab (which is so hard!). Responsive support team too. :)
I can see how it could be a good app but unfortunately it is just not usable for me. When I don’t know a word there is no way to get rid of the keyboard to actually press “learn word” so I am completely stuck on words that I don’t know (unless I exit the app and google them).
I am 1 year plan subscriber. I like this app. And also i need to learn English slang. For high level user. English slang is inevitable. Please make a special course for English slang.
practicing languages has gone from being a chore to a joy. this app is to the point and really fun. i’m currently doing the 14 day trial but already prepared to subscribe for a year. wish there were more diverse languages to choose from but know it’s only a matter of time :)
I remember this app at the beginning of its creation and WOW it felt like a game changer. Now? Don’t bother unless you have a subscription. Having re-downloaded it to start French again I was deeply disappointed it’s basically unusable in the “free” version… it’s shocking they even claim there IS a free version since you can’t do anything! Just be upfront and charge people to use the app at this point. Don’t claim it’s a free app and then require a subscription to use it.
On iPhone okay...but on iPad keeps going back to zero...difficult to get finished...keep reporting this (now given up and accept this limitation)...but no response...just don’t get it...but will finish subscription and move on...although it is quite helpful with vocabulary)))
