Lingvo Dictionary is a perfect tool for quick, easy and accurate offline translation of words and phrases!
Free access to 5 dictionaries for 6 languages included! Download them after installation right from within the app! Additional premium dictionaries for 11 languages including thematic, economic, law, etc. are available for In-App Purchase. Lingvo Dictionary works offline – it will become an indispensable tool for traveling, working or studying. The app helps to get a translation or an exhaustive interpretation of the word at any time.

WORKS OFFLINE: just download all desired dictionaries and use them when you need it.
PHOTO-TRANSLATION (iPhone only): recognition and translation of words from the mobile device’s camera or from images on your phone. To translate a word just tap it on the image.
FLASHCARDS for effective learning of words (with synchronization of flashcards between devices).
TRANSLATION of words and phrases FROM OTHER APPS. You can use one of the following methods:
• adjust translation via the clipboard,
• use dialog “Share with…”
• use drag-and-drop function (iPad only).
WORK WITH TWO APPS AT ONCE in Split view / Slide over mode (iPad only).
On the “INFLECTED FORMS” tab, you can quickly see declension of nouns, conjugation of verbs, etc.
CONVENIENT WORK WITH SEVERAL DICTIONARIES AT THE SAME TIME: a general words list, a combined dictionary card.
DICTIONARY ENTRY CONTAINS DETAILED INFORMATION about words, including translation alternatives, word usage examples, phonetic transcriptions, inflected forms of words and native audio pronunciation (in some dictionaries).

• voice input to speed up the search for a word or phrase,
• hypertext - instant translation of any word found in the dictionary entries with just a single tap,

Going to file a complaint to Apple
Not possible to restore my free dictionaries
After update, I lost my previous free dictionaries. Now only Russian dictionary is available.
Perfekt ordbok
En veldig grundig og omfattende ordbok som kan brukes for veldig mange språk. Har brukt Lingvo i over 10 år og er veldig fornøyd med ordboka. Særlig godt for russisk-engelsk språk par.

Это самый лучший словарь, которым я когда-либо пользовалась. А с появлением апа для iPhone and iPad его использование стало еще практичнее. Спасибо!
Not good.
Using app time to time and almost every time got lost all my (free) dictionaries (after yet another app update). Latest issue is dictionary INSTALLED so you cannot download it again, but it is not available to choose. If you install other dictionary it will appear in selection. So I have only problems with this app and usually switch to some online dictionaries or translators.
Just not working
I'm trying to download the dictionaries for several days now. It keeps saying 'try later'. Question is what did I pay for?

Пользуюсь почти ежедневно 20 лет
Английский представлен отлично. Немецкий испанский и французский очень хорошо. Но не хватает большого польско-русского и русско-польского. Мало латинского. И очень-очень не хватает древнегреческого.
Как словарь - очень посредственно
Очень примитивный словарь, даже удивительно почему при современных возможностях не сделать все удобно
