Awful! Never able to Open it. Shows nothing.

Really confusing, hard to find information on when the auction is going to start. Confusing information and sizing of jewelry. Description of jewelry size and communication with diction house is not consistent.

This app lags, glitches, and finds some reason to not work without fail!

All auctions are scam I got scammed And a police report had been issued. This app should be shut down.

A great app which makes things accessible to me that otherwise wouldn’t be but a little flawed: it seems resource-hungry and regularly develops a lag. Worse, it’s crashed twice switching to live auction, costing me a couple of items that I won’t likely see again. Still, a terrific app that’s brought all sorts of goodies into my life.

This is a host site for many different auction houses which means each auction may vary in their fine-print. I was shocked at the second item I won when my total price nearly doubled in add-on fees like buyers premium and “handling” fees on a small light item. If you’re in Canada like me you may get slammed by surprise invoice totals. Bidder beware! Aside from that, the app is alright but could use some fine-tuning.

Another reviewer noted the back button issue. However, the most prominent issue I faced was not being able to bid, despite unlocking the bid lock. My income is dependent upon the choices I make during an auction, so this app, and my faith in its ability to function correctly at a critical point, has now disrupted my income stream. I had waited weeks for the lot in question to appear for bids, and I would have easily won the lot...if the app worked. The second that the lot was won, to someone else, for a fraction of what I was willing to pay, this app was instantly uninstalled. I won’t be repeating my mistake.

Your back button seems to be in the search bar making things really complicated and hard to use and kinda a piss off

I keep missing items because the app stays stuck on whatever item they’re auctioning at the time you enter the live auction. The lots don’t change. Use the website to bid!! Searching outside of bidding and it’s fine. Please fix the bidding-that’s the m ou rt important part!

I’ve been buying art my whole life, including on digital platforms. I’ve had a good experience with Live Auctioneers’ functionality and, most of all, the breadth of art, furniture and other rarities—on any given day, there are dozens of auctions to buy from. The interface of the app is clear and well designed. The watched search feature is excellent. Unfortunately there and some very bad actors they have allowed to remain on their platform, even labeling some of these “auction houses” that sell completely fraudulent work among their recommended sellers. I’m not talking about an old piece from an estate sale missing provenance. These are sellers repeatedly selling supposedly original paintings or drawings by famous artists—name one, really, and they have forged it. Live Auctioneers could easily deplatform these sellers and build trust and credibility but they remain and sadly people fall for it—some of this trash sells.
