Best livestream App for sports by far!

App freezes, videos won’t load

Cool app in theory makes it easy to be at the game without physically being there. However this app is constantly freezing and not loading live feeds. Not to mention sometimes the quality is so bad you can’t even see what’s happening.

Buyer beware - canceling only allowed on a computer

While parents are able to start a membership on a smartphone this company doesn’t allow canceling from a smartphone. Terrible and tricky way to keep taking money from busy people who don’t have time to get on a computer just to cancel the service once it’s no longer needed.

Used to work but now broken for weeks

When I first subscribed a few months ago, the service worked great. Camera quality is decent enough at our hockey rink and the ability to toggle between the Auto and Pano camera options was useful. Also, the VOD (video on demand) feature worked. However, in the past 1.5 months, the ability to toggle between Auto and Pano has disappeared, and now your only option is to watch in Pano. This means using your fingers to follow along with the game, and it also means you can no longer watch on TV as the Pano angle makes it impossible to see anything. VOD no longer works either - there are no videos being stored. On top of that, the camera has been down for a couple of weeks at our venue. When you look at the reviews, you’ll notice LiveBarn shift the blame towards the venue when it comes to technical difficulties. The problem with that approach is LiveBarn is the one charging customers, not the venue. The business model is basically to install camera, walk away, blame the venue anytime something doesn’t work and then collect payments. It’s an amazing concept in theory, but executed in a way that unfortunately results in a poor experience. My tip to LiveBarn is to build a standard for each venue - require Auto/Pano toggle, require 30 days VOD, require regular maintenance (LiveBarn trains the venue employees via video to save travel costs) to ensure equipment remains functional. Sure, you might have to increase your costs, but if you can provide a predictable product, folks are more willing to pay. Unfortunately I’m going to cancel because I’m paying close to $30 month for a product that works 40% of the time. Even less when considering half the features don’t even work.

Cool idea but needs work

The idea is cool but the execution is awful. The company doesn't care about making things better for the user. If you own an apple phone, good luck trying to use the slider at the bottom to advance the time. The way they designed the interface is junk as it just grabs the iphone bar at the bottom and you can not use the slider. Also if you try and advance 10 seconds with the button, it disappears once to press it so you have to hit the screen again to get the option back. So if you want to advance 60 seconds, you need to hit the screen 12 times. Not sure why they cant make simple changes for the user

Was going to buy but after reading reviews of how bad it is for the obnoxious price you’re charging I’m all set

Super glitchy

Run into constant issues with poor play tracking (cameras will follow refs out of the view of play, pan off play because of movement on the bench etc). The stream video quality is poor, and this is while using fiber internet. Today, the live stream keeps terminating while play is on the ice with a message across the top that live stream has ended and I have to keep going back in just for it to kick me off another 30 seconds in.

Terrible Customer Service

ranger railroad on

Don’t believe it when a venue has a sign out saying they are a “Live Barn” venue. I signed up for the service to watch my daughter swim while away on a business trip and the meet was not streamed. I contacted customer service and they said to check with the venue and the venue told me to check with Live Barn. It was a two day meet so I was hopeful it would stream the next day but it didn’t. During my emails with Customer Service I told them this was the only reason I signed up for the service but they didn’t care and didn’t offer a refund. I thought my contact with this terrible company was over and then they charged my credit card again a month later for the service. I contacted Customer Service and they said I had not canceled properly the first time and they would not refund or prorate me any money and proceeded to send me pages and screenshots of legal agreements and terms. This is clearly not a company who prioritizes customers; their only goal is to get your credit card # so they can keep charging it regardless of whether you can use their service.
