When using the app, sometimes my bed doesn’t even show up as an option to control. Then I have to close it out and sometimes it still doesn’t function right. Also though, the remote isn’t much more reliable.
The APP has worked virtually flawlessly since I installed it. I have full control of the bed. My partner uses the physical remote - couldn’t be happier. Once my phone quit working so I unplugged the bed mechanism for a couple of seconds, plugged it in and then it worked perfectly. I wish when I selected the APP, it would go directly to the bed control, but it usually gives me that initial screen, then I select the icon and then it goes to the bed control. Not sure why that is but I can live with it - maybe some kind of “hand shake” between bed mechanism and phone.
Oddly, this app wouldn’t let me click on any of the four remotes after I configured my phone to work with an external Bluetooth keyboard. However it works again now that I’ve disabled Full Keyboard Access in the accessibility settings. If you’d app spontaneously stops working, go to: Settings -> Accessibility -> Keyboards -> Full Keyboard Access. Switch it to “Off,” and see if that fixes your problem like it did mine. The app is pretty basic and I shouldn’t have to select between all four remotes. The app should either automatically recognize, or at least save, the type of remote based on the device it’s connected to.
Worked fine at first. The app on my wife’s iPhone showed both her bed and mine and the app on my iPhone showed both beds as well. Then all of a sudden my app did not work on my bed and her bed disappeared from my app. Hasn’t worked since. Now my app works my bed on my iPad but won’t connect to my wife’s bed. This app or the bed controls need great improvement.
After reading hundreds of reviews of adjustable base beds, I recently bought a Leggett & Platt Prodigy LBR for $1,600. Unfortunately, I did not think to read the reviews for the app. While the bed itself is great, its quality is diminished and made irrelevant by the remote, which makes operation a huge hassle. The “glass top capacitative touch” remote was a terrible design choice, as it is somehow both too sensitive to accidental touch *and* insensitive to intentional touch. But my main issue with the LBR and its operation is that ***you cannot have both the remote and the app paired to the bed simultaneously***!! I want to be able to use the remote and my phone interchangeably. For a $1,600 bed from one of the top 3 manufacturers, the remote and the app should be as excellent as the bed itself. Switching between the two should be seamless. This matters, because depending on the situation, my phone may be more accessible/convenient than the remote or vice versa. Let’s say I have my phone paired but it dies or is in another room. In order to adjust the bed, I have to use the remote - but first, I have to program it, which involves unplugging the bed from the battery backup, plugging it back in, and pushing some buttons on the remote. BUT once my phone is charged and I use it to adjust the bed? It unpairs the physical remote and the next time I try to use the remote, it won’t work, and I’d have to go through the same process all over again! It may seem like I am unreasonably angry about this problem. But I’m disabled and climbing under my bed every day or two to unplug my bed is, at best, challenging and painful - but some days it’s impossible. Though this process is more of a (literal) pain for me, many reviews of this app and others from L&P describe similar issues with pairing dating back 7+ years, so it is a **known, persistent, and cross-model issue** with these beds and has not been fixed. I heard great things about this brand and this bed, and I’m incredibly disappointed. Most retailers, mine included, do not accept returns of adjustable beds. So basically, I feel like I’ve been ripped off, and my only recourse is to make an official complaint to BBB and make others aware so they don’t fall into the same trap. L&P person reading this, this bug is unacceptable, especially at this price tag. I would not recommend a Leggett & Platt bed to anyone simply for these problems with the remote and app, and I am actively working to make others aware so no
Complete waste of time
Can’t set it up, doesn’t work.
Please add Siri Intents so the bed can be controlled by voice.
Installed app day after bed was delivered. Remote for bed works fine, app does NOTHING. It sees the base on the app via Bluetooth but no commands work on the app.
