This is a great app for recording your dreams. It also has other features such as: Touch-less alarms, dream journal lock, and methods to help you dream. Yes, there are some ads but they are usually banner ads at the bottom of the screen that don’t interfere with the UI navigation.
absurd. the banner ad moves around and often sits right over the toolbar at the top
Obviously, you care nothing about this app. Stupid google ad covers the controls. Don’t waste your time on this one.
I use this app primarily for dream journaling. The app works pretty well for that. However, there’s a bug(?) that consistently causes ads to appear on the control bar, making it really difficult to hit the save or cancel buttons rather than clicking the ad.
I’ve just started using lucidity, I had one of my first lucid dreams, but when I wrote it down in my dream journal, an ad covered up the save or cancel buttons.
This app has been rendered completely useless, which is too bad because I was getting some good recording out of it for a while. A banner ad appears over the save button now so that it is impossible to press it. I just recorded a Dream for 15 minutes and instantly lost it because there’s no way to save it.
Ads in journal cover navigation back button. Stuck on screen, useless.
So in the dream journal there is an ad where the back arrow and the save button is every single time you open it up. Meaning that if you just spent 10 minutes writing and recalling every detail of your dream when you get done you just can’t save it you wasted your time writing it all. There is a way around it though for anyone really struggling. If you click the little x on the ad 2 options will pop up “send feedback” and “why this ad” if you click send feedback you can select one of the 4 options to make the ad “go away”. The ad doesn’t really leave the bar is still there covering everything but you can kinda spam click the general area of the save button in the top right corner and if you tap it just right you can actually manage to save it through the ad. This app is pretty good but only for iOS since android has plenty of other better alternatives. The techniques within the app are questionable but the are you awake reminder is nice and I like the extra options you have to label dreams within the dream journal. I’ve been using the are you awake reminder for well over a year and I personally like it. Without this ad issue I’d easily give the app 4 stars. There are definitely more features they could add and some more support for switching devices and such but it’s definitely one of the best you’re going to get off of the App Store.
Given that I can’t save new dreams because some ad from a company I will never by from IS always blocking the save button when I try to ad a new dream. The least they could do is let an ad video play beforehand! It’s such a shame since I used to really like this app.
