Luma 3D Capture

I appreciate that the app is free, & only recently tested it for the first time. The results were stunning for the one object I scanned, but it took at least two days before I got the scan back. There are zero situations where this is viable. I did another scan 24hrs ago (still queued), with no idea when that will arrive (& it was a much smaller object/area), which is somewhat ridiculous. I’d happily pay for a faster service, but there doesn’t seem to be one. It’s crazy, as the results are amazing, but sorta unusable due to the time it takes.

I have been using this app ever since it was first announced and have loved every second of it. Making these new scanning technologies so accessible has been a dream for me and this made it a reality. In addition to this, they are still implementing new techniques as well such as their new gaussian splatting usage. However, the scan processing times have become a bit outrageous. Before, I only had to wait a maximum of 15-20 minutes for a scan to process. However, in the recent months, it’s taken literal days or even weeks. I don’t bother scanning anything anymore because I just dont know when i’m ever going to get it back. If the servers are so overloaded, a message in the app indicating this would still be a huge help and a relief.

Good app but too slow to generate

It works 70% of the time. In that 30% it still comes out great ( depends on phone camera and how much detail you got ) but it can also take upwards of 3 days to process if they are nearly at full capacity Adding onto my last review I have been waiting 4 days and it is showing no sign of taking me of a queue will update when and if it gets past this stage

I have tried several pictures and videos but nothing keeps failing so deleted app not much more I can say 🤷‍♂️

I decided to try out the free version before buying the pro version. I typed in my prompt to generate a video and after 4 hours of processing, the video is still in the queue. Don’t bother trying out the free version of the text to video, it takes forever to create. It’s been 4 hours and it’s still trying to process my video. A total waste of time.

My own fault really, I didn’t understand the purpose of this app. I thought it would be the same as the online version.

In its current version this app is terrible at knowing where you want the box, the randomly decides where to put it and you can not move it, only make it bigger or smaller, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max so I thought mine would be able to use this app, in concept and demonstration it looks amazing but currently needs a lot of work. Suggestion let the user decide where to place the box after it’s been taken and placed in the picture.

I’ve tried 3 test scans OMG amazing I have so much potential for this, I would like to find out more of - can you still get the scan if you can only get to 1/2 of the object - can you do a building so inside and out - can you get an .sco or similar so can link multiple scans together Again only looked for a short time but we’ll done to these developers please contact me I’m sure we can progress im my industry Brill App!!
