Lunar Silver Star Story Touch

Definitely a solid jrpg. The voice acting is different from the original so the nostalgia doesnt hit as much but still an amazing port! As much as I hated Nall’s squeaky voice in the original, I do miss it. Looking forward to Eternal Blue.

This game is really high quality and a wonderful port of the Saturn/PS1 version, as far as I can tell. However, it seems like there’s no more option to play it with the phone in a vertical mode, with a virtual controller underneath, which use to be one of the ways to play, and my preferred way of doing so. Unfortunately, this has hampered the experience for me, and I hope it is added back.

This is awesome, really brings me back to the ps one days and plays seamlessly! Only thing is I wish the soundtrack/voices could be changed to the original but still fun! I really hope they do the same for Lunar 2 Eternal Blue and make it available as well. Great job!

Good port only some minor issues I’m noticing. Can’t delete saves. Not a big deal I guess. No item descriptions with retro UI setting. It’s odd. Movie volume is hilariously low if playing on tv. Maybe they can tweak some things. So far I like it though.

I've played the SEGA CD, PS1, PSP version of Lunar Silver Star, and discounting the SEGA CD version which is equal if only cause of how different it is from every remake, this port (Lunar SSST) is the definitive version of the remake canon. Graphics, FMV, and music are taken from the Saturn and Windows 9x version that were never officially released in the US, and are improved over the PS1 release. Working Designs' iconic PS1 dub is sadly not available due to legal reasons, but there is a mod that restores the WD dub to SSST, though it only works on MacOS. The translation is mostly taken from the WD PS1 version, so the charming dialogue and jokes are mostly intact. There's also an option to use the PSP music (good), the PSP dub (bad), and the Japanese voice actors (good). You can select the Japanese Saturn or English PS1 enemy stats, increase or decrease EXP/silver drops, etc... Did I mention it didn't crash at all? Overall, a must buy for a Lunar fan, especially on a Mac. SoMoGa, I hope you release Lunar 2 at some point.

The opening theme, Nalls voice, Ramus’ voice and several other things were different from the original ps1 American release, but its heart is still there. Still my favorite.

Had to play with the controls to find out how to get the virtual d-pad to stay on the screen for this to be finally playable.

I played this game when it first dropped on the App Store, some 10 or so years ago. I had loved the game ever since I played it in the 90’s on my PS, so I was thrilled to get the chance to play it again. On the first port of this, I loved it, flaws and all. SoMoGa did a great job back then no matter what anyone says! But I had no idea they were still supporting this game and had no idea about the huge update they did a year ago until I went to gift this to a friend for his birthday. I’m so excited that my friend gets to play this updated version and I can’t wait to experience Lunar through his eyes. Thank you, SoMoGa! You made me very happy! (And if you happen to be working on a port of Eternal Blue, I’ll be the first to buy it! 😉).

Great turn base game. I recommend this game 100% to everyone. I can’t wait for Lunar Eternal Blue to arrive on mobile gaming.
