I’ve been using the printed guides for years (from version 2 of Bangkok and onwards) loved those and now love the digital versions too. Have many places purchased and love the fact they are regularly updated. My go to guides to use before and during a trip ( and the pithy humour is also a bonus)
I used the guides for Hanoi, Ho Ci Minh City, Cambodia and Bangkok and found them spot on. The App is easier to follow and it’s easier to find some hard to get to locations. The paper guides are handy and light but I find the shopping itenararies hard to follow sometimes!

I’m from London and still live here currently - The suggestions are spot on.
This app requires a daily update so can’t be used offline. The update process seems prone to crashing so even with an internet connection I’m currently unable to use any feature of the app as the update won’t complete. There is no customer support to resolve this. It’s such a shame as it looks like a wonderful app but I can’t use it.
I’ve been a fan of luxe since I happened upon one of their fold-out Hanoi city guides more than a decade ago. The app has taken the utility of Luxe to a new level. Highly recommended.
I purchased the hard copy guide to Hong Kong which promised a free app. When I log in I am only offered a free preview or an upgrade costing £14.99. I can find nowhere in the app to enter the redemption code in the hard copy so that I can have access to a full guide. Bitterly disappointed, a rip off.
I have used this book and app on a number of recent travels including New York and Amsterdam and have just bought another one for a weekend break. The authors really know their cities and bring up interesting information not generally available elsewhere and clear maps telling you how t get there from your current destination. Highly recommended.
Great interface and easy to use. The content could do with some further details and development but we use it all the time. LOVE the itinerary feature!
Have been a fan of Luxe a long time and their printed guides are great, but the app just gives it that extra edge with maps and photos and day itineraries. Love it!
