Luxor® Controller

This application is so confusing. Even if the problem is complicated, the app should make it easy. It’s got the UI of a software developer for sure. Also it’s full of bugs. Can’t list them all

I have had these lights for 7 years. I have 15 colored themes and 23 schedules when different themes come on! About 2x per month I get special colored lights, the rest of the time, they are white - like everyone else in my neighborhood. I have themes set up for birthdays, anniversary and every holiday, I even have them set to come on red/white/blue every night during the Summer Olympics next month🇺🇸 The recent update definitely helped with app speed plus added a place for pictures and names of each theme. One hint my rep shared with me - by turning the intensity down to between 65-70, pulls the white out of the color and makes the colors deeper and much prettier! I use the on/off toggle to randomly turn on my party theme when in the mood.

I can controller my irrigation controller from anywhere in the world but can’t connect to my lighting transformer standing right next to it. Manual operation works great and the light colors possible are amazing too bad the app doesn’t approach the same quality.

Try to change the lights scheme every couple of weeks and the app loses the controller every time. Try to add it manually and it says “controller not found”. Borderline useless app.

This has got to be the slowest app I have yet to use. There has got to be something that can be done about it. The functionality is okay once you’ve had a cup of coffee to give it time to load.

Spend 5-6 FIGURES on a lighting system… the app that controls it lags and crashes! Customer support? Nothing. AVOID THIS SYSTEM IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SANITY.

I’m continually having to find my controller, reprogram the scenes, wait for water to boil before it opens and becomes functional. Pretty dismal in all respects.

I spent $10k on lights. $1,500 of that was just the controller and these are worse than $2k hue lights. DO NOT BUY THESE under any circumstances Now I need to try to navigate their return policy. God help me as I try to return these lights.

The interface is not well thought out, for example all the programs are named “program A”, “program B”, etc so it is hard to remember what each program is for. I would like to rename them (and the house to something other than “test”. Maybe I can, but the app itself is so slow I get to frustrated to find out. I wish more people could be informed before buying, I was sold on the features but would have looked more at competitive products if I knew how painful it would be to change any settings in this app, it is that slow. Hopefully the company will dedicate more money to app development in the future so I can change my review.

The app takes forever to do any action. Simply logging in and waiting for it to load the controllers can take a few minutes. Loading the schedules? Another 2-3 minutes. Loading the themes? You guessed it…. That is if it ever connects!! I have had it spin for 10-15 minutes trying to load the themes only for it to time out. I constantly have to restart my routers to get them to connect and respond. And my controllers are hardwired.
