Poor Matchmaking
Poor matchmaking ruins this. They place overpowered fast decks against slower paced decks constantly. Experienced Mtg players will find this unplayable on a genuine level. Once you take the time to build a deck their matchmaking will ultimately make your efforts worthless by placing you against cheap gimmicks and decks at completely different speeds. Forcing you to play the same style as the others to play is horrible matchmaking. Put those players against each other….
“Works On This Phone” is being generous
All kinds of glitches. Dates and times are replaced by strings. Just unprofessional and embarrassing.
Label 3 glitch!
Fix it
Ehhh…
This app is alright, the newest update messed up the function of finding nearby stores that has events. All it shows are stores that may be near by and no specific date for the events. Only shows 03 and that’s it.
Before the update it was fine and I was able to go to new stores and play mtg there.
Any store that uses this app for events is annoyed since once they start it they can’t change it at all.
Life counters are useless since it just drains your phone battery and makes your many dice useless.
It’s fine but kinda doesn’t work
Most of the features are fine. I, as a casual player and enjoyer of the game, don’t use most of those features. There are better life counters out there for free and what pisses me off the most is I have yet to get the card search function to work once. I can’t look anything up and I never could
Make it work
This app is awful
Great game Horrible App
There are a ton of cards that you will spend money to own, that don’t work. They will NEVER give you first turn. I’m currently on an 8 game streak of turn 2. They don’t do skill based matching. They will instead match you against the ONE deck that completely counters yours. I think they’re trying to bait you into spending money on what’s supposed to be a free app. Trash. Don’t bother. Just play with proxie cardboard. Your stress lvls will thank me later.
Who do I have to pay?
First, I’d like to say that I’ve been playing magic for years. Spent a vast amount of time and money on this game that I love. And when I heard that an app was made to play? I was overjoyed. But after playing, and paying, for months now? I’m at the point of utter disbelief and frustration. You guys must make money hand over fist with this and magic as a whole, yet you can’t come up with a better shuffle algorithm? Do not try and tell me that it is “randomized” because I can nearly call ever hand I will get once I play for a certain amount of time. If I play best of three for instance? And my opening hand is three or more land? I know that I will be getting mostly lands that game. And as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, the next game I play? I will get maybe two lands if I’m lucky and have land problems all that game. There comes a point in time where you see patterns like this, playing multiple colors of manna in a deck and only get one, or go on a win streak where you are actually getting a fair hand then go on a hard losing streak where your hands are the only reason why you lose, that make me swear that I will never pay another penny into this application. Why can’t you just make this fair play? Are you actually telling me that this is actually the best way to do this? Just completely ruin the experience with whatever your algorithm is doing? If the goal is to keep people playing, then why would you want your customers so frustrated that they stop altogether? I’m sure I’m not the only one who see this. In fact, real magic players at game shops? Nine out of ten of them don’t play this application because of the shuffling mechanic of this game. Why?
Not Intuitive
Everything I do on this app seems way less simple than it should be. A lot of symbols instead of words. Magic already has a huge barrier of entry, this app should be simple to use- instead it has opted in to “looking good,” but you can have both.
Stick to cards if you new and trying to learn or relearn.
Love magic since a young age. But the matchmaking mechanism in this game is messed up. You’re playing jump in premade packs, and people are using their own made decks against you.
