Each day includes prayers for the morning, evening, and night inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours; the entire text of daily Mass; meditations on the daily Gospel drawn from classic writings of the Church Fathers as well as insights from recent spiritual masters; essays on the lives of the saints, both well-known and obscure; and sacred art masterpieces with commentaries.
As it does for the hundreds of thousands already reading and praying with MAGNIFICAT, this unique App will accompany your spiritual journey and enrich your daily prayer life.
Now 2 editions in one:
- The American English Edition of MAGNIFICAT (Fr. Sebastian White, OP, Editor-in Chief) contains readings, texts, and the Liturgical calendar appropriate for the USA using the New American Bible.
- The International English Edition of MAGNIFICAT (Léonie Caldecott, Editor-in-Chief) contains readings, texts, and the Liturgical calendar appropriate for English-speaking countries using the Jerusalem Bible (Australia, Ireland, UK, etc.).
Subscribers to the print edition receive complimentary App access. For first-time users, the App is free from the day it is installed until the end of that month, at which time you can subscribe on our website or through the App*.

*Subscriptions to MAGNIFICAT purchased through the App are on a monthly or yearly basis. Love this!
Love this! The alerts forbprayer… liturgy of the hours is so wasy now to do! Love so mich about this app. It makes things easy to find and follow- especially in Mass and when i need a little more guidance, i can read meditations and about the Saints. Now we need a magnifikid app…
Unable to use
Paid for subscription. Have emailed several times. Still cannot use this app.
Unable to download; keeps getting error message
Been trying to download the March edition. I keep getting the “error message and keep trying.” I deleted and redownloaded the app to see if that will fix it, still unsuccessful ☹️ I may have to consider just cancelling my subscription,sadly.
Missing feature: dark/night mode
I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars, because one feature is missing: dark/night mode. This has been a standard feature in all the operating systems I use. If I want to read a meditation or reflection during the evening or night hours, I must copy and paste the text to an app that has dark/night mode. Once dark/night mode is enabled, I will change my rating back to 5 stars.
Reflective and inspiring
No better way to start and end day, than with God’s Word. This is my daily companion to keep me on track or to bring me back on track with Jesus.
Loading issue
I can no longer upload my Magnificat app without to my iPhone or iPad. Please help me!!
“Error Loading”
Can’t download Oct ‘23 issue due to an “error loading” problem and, in status of memory setting, there is the same message. Deleted and reinstalled app and still have same issues. Please help!
Text size
I love the Magnificate but when I first used it you used to be able to stretch the page and make it larger like you can for the back of the book for the pictures or the front or the calendar why can you not make it stretch on day in day out date’s. Your size font is very small. I have set at +++ I also use I Breviary it has good text size. Can you make some upgrades so I can use Magnificat Thanks Martin
Do not buy single issues from this app
They will not download, in spite of repeated canned responses from developer to “check status of memory.” You will be asked to pay (a second time) for the issue. Apple will not refund your payment, even though this and similar problems have been reported here numerous times in customer reviews.
