Maiku - A Haiku Composer

Helpful to create haiku without going over the amount of syllables. Certain words like ‘desire’ to me has 2 syllables, but in the app it says 3 syllables which isn’t a problem, but it makes the last syllable grey if you go over, and I think haiku are descriptive, not prescriptive, so it would be nice to at least leave it fully visible, with just the syllable count at the bottom telling you you are over. Still a great app though, and that’s bearing in mind my loose grammar isn’t really their problem lol

I was recently introduced to Haiku and try to write one in my journal every day. This app makes the experience better and allows me to focus on the intent rather than the number of syllables. It would be nice to have iCloud sync sometime as I use it across my devices.

The app is very minimalist, simply there to help with writing haiku poetry. Very little distraction. Suggestions Could you add the date to the time stamp when they are saved.

In a world of "pay for information overload" poetry apps, Maiku really hits the nail in the head with enough functionality to be perfect for what I need without another app, but not so much that I'm lost in menus. Maiku is simple and elegant, just like a Haiku. Joyful written words With Maiku it's possible Five stars to the devs
