Can’t even sign up or sign in to the app

App will sign out after practically each time you use it. Contacted Malaysiakini about it, they didn’t do anything about it. They recommend you use the website where they feed you ads and charge you to subscribe.

Truly an awful app not befitting such a great news site. UI is ugly and doesn’t properly scale to screen size, login system is buggy, many sections of the app just bring you out back to Safari, KiniTV is not available, the list goes on and on. Also the Sign In with Apple option doesn’t work—it’s a static image you can’t tap on, probably just to dupe App Store reviewers to bypass the requirement for the feature to be implemented. Suggest Malaysiakini pull the app if it’s not going to develop a decent one.

Impossible to return to the article after tapping on an external link; need to restart the app. Lack of improvements and updates.

What’s happening to your app … it’s not working .. seem like the system is jammed .. I can’t seem to log in to subscribe- by the way , what is your monthly subscription fee ..

Why Malaysiakini never bothers improving their app despite feedback given? Is it really so difficult?

Every few days I get an all white screen when I open the app. So have to keep on deleting n reloading the app. Once reloaded it works fine for a few days then its white screen again.

I like the articles from mkini thus downloaded the app but I can’t read any article fully as it require sign in to access full article but the problem is it won’t let me sign in!

The Malaysiakini website allows subscribers to obtain a FriendLink that can be copied and shared with friends who are non-subscribers so that they can read the article. This feature is missing in the app. Until this feature is added, I’ll just stick to using the Malaysiakini website.
