Remove the Match 3s
I really liked the original find objects, but now they barely come up in the overused matched 3 levels they changed the game to. Clearly no one likes them, so why don’t they just change it to what it was originally?

The appeal of this game for many was the hidden puzzle gameplay where normally there would be a match three. I was never able to get into other games where you solve puzzles to rebuild something because most of them used these match three puzzles that past a certain point become completely unfun for its extreme reliance on chance and high difficulty. I understand that the developers at this point have likely already committed to the concept(probably because it encourages more in-app purchases through this difficult gameplay which is fine, they are a company trying to make money) but this shift is eliminating what made this game preferable to all the other ones of this genre. I just want more search levels, which I also feel have gotten more repetitive recently. In the last 50 games, I’ve played the vast majority of the scenes were either the study, cellar, street(with train) and occasionally the parlor. I haven’t seen the library, attic, studio or toy store at all. I don’t know if this decrease in variety is related to the new switch. It may just be because the search levels are being so diluted by the new matching levels which makes there presence all the more frustrating when they make the actually fun gameplay less enjoyable. This game is fun, the storyline is endearing, the restoration of the manor is satisfying, the scenes themselves are beautiful, and I feel like the game was fairly well balanced in its gameplay. It used to be a well executed search game. Now, I have to slog through obnoxiously hard levels I don’t want to play to get a taste of the game it used to be. This switch to match three, though, destroys this balance, and it seriously detracts from my enjoyment. It removes one of the major appeals that this game had to offer: something other than infuriating three in a row gameplay. (A bit of a tangent, but I felt like bringing up my the extreme discomfort for the false and honestly kind of gross advertising campaigns this company often does, which is so transparent in its inaccuracy and so needlessly overboard that I don’t how it can still be beneficial when it makes the whole company look super scummy and untrustworthy)
It’s not fun or cute to be stuck on a level for hours with no options for power ups or boosts outside of spending money to get those. Deleting.
Update: I appreciate the developers responding. The issue is resolved and I’m back to my favorite game. I’m currently in the werewolf levels. I rarely stay with a game so long, especially when it has nearly infuriatingly difficult levels involved. That said, this morning while playing the screen froze except for character movements and sounds before going black. I can hear music and faint character sounds but no game..what’s going on?
I used to love this game, the levels were fun and the game was beautiful. Unfortunately the game added the stupid match three elements that took over most of the levels. Now it’s like every other game they thing that made it new and fun and interesting is now gone, I would not recommend if your looking for a good game to play there are hundreds of match three games and this should not be one of them, I wish on everything it would go back.
The new design hurts my eyes, can’t play for very long without getting a headache. The helicopters are annoying, had to turn the sound off completely. Since the 6/24 update I get ‘super hard’ levels more frequently, and some take more than a day to beat, even with powerups. I think it’s fair to buy extras once or twice a month, but a game shouldn’t cost $50 just to make reasonable progress. It’s starting to feel like a job.
i hate match 3 games, and coming back to this one after a year of not playing just to have what i thought was a super cool and unique concept be replaced by the generic match 3 and the mini games that are so stupid, is literally heartbreaking.
Bring back the old booster design!!Why are you making the game worse🥲
I’ve been playing this game for a long time and am currently above level 4000. What I used to most enjoy were the hidden object levels. Now there are too few of them. The matching levels are okay, but just not as enjoyable as the hidden items ones, and I really miss my favorite aspect of the game. From reading other reviews, it seems that a lot of players don’t like the match-3 as much as the hidden objects. Please considering making the hidden object levels more frequent, or possibly even adding opportunities for players to choose a hidden object practice path/area where people can search for hidden objects to their heart’s content and even if they don’t count as regular levels, they could still provide opportunities to win stars, lives, or powerups, etc. the overall story and game is well down, but I feel a lot of people have felt let down when the switch to more of the match-3 type levels took over what used to be a wonderful hidden picture game. Please consider options to let those of us who want more of the image search type levels to be satisfied somehow.
Why does it give me an error when I try to play since I updated the game?
