Map Pilot Pro

Data collection is, perhaps, the most important aspect of drone mapping. Map Pilot Pro makes me a much better drone pilot than my flight hours would imply. It simplifies a complex array of flight decisions and ensures that I’ll have a safe and successful data collection mission every time.

System seems glitchy, frequent issue with my drone taking off under control of the app, then just hovering without starting the mission. When it works, it’s fantastic, but I can’t rely on it.

I've dropped one star but only because I can't see how to choose an export only drone from the settings? On your site it says the Mini 4 Pro (one of the drones I'd like to use this with) is Export Only. Clicking on that link it takes you to a page where it says you should choose it from the settings but it will only allow you to export a KML file for use with the DJI Fly App. I don't have anything in the settings of the app to allow me to choose any Export Only drone though? Could someone possibly let me know how to get this app to work with an export only drone like the Mini 4 Pro please? Many thanks.

Just to advise, planned a mission for my mini 2. Flown and returned to home. Whilst in air, I created another plan. This locked the app. However, even DJI Fly was unable to control the drone and it sat there at 360ft above me. RTH didn’t work. In the end, after some bum clenching, constant manual switching in and out of sport mode gave control back to DJI Fly. I won’t be using MMP again. Not worth the risk.

Excellent app. Simple advance mission planning, simple on-site planning, simple data collection, upload and processing.

I have been using Map Pilot Pro for over 3 years and it has become my go-to first choice for all my orthomosaic photogrammetry jobs. With full gimbal control now included, all types of mission are possible and it works well on my Mavic 2 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro drones. Processing is fast and cost effective. Highly recommended!

A really useful tool that has been used extensively for woodland surveys by us.

Too bad this won’t work with my mini SE. The app looks great and the images are sharp. I love Maps Made Easy and wanted to use this too. Currently I use DroneLink, which flies well but has video problems.

I’ve been using with my Dji Mini 3 and it works great with my Android device. With my iOs device, I can quickly plan my missions and upload to the server. No complains so far. Thanks, guys!

Good app, and best processing setup that allows pay-as-you-go without requiring a subscription. But you cannot plan a mission on your desktop, which is annoying, and cannot import kmz or shp files to help planning. So I use drone deploy for planning and flying and MME for processing.
