Marco Polo - Video Messenger

I love this app- it helps me to stay connected with my friends from all over the world and it’s frankly just great. Loving all the features- sending clear videos, not having to hold onto the recording buttons, endless video lengths, being able to see what you actually said to your friend (because I am a forgetful person sometimes), effects, filters, etc. Love it! I do hope that there mayyyy be a messaging feature here as well just so there is a central space for people to send videos, but also send messages when they don’t quite feel like responding with videos. Maybe. But great job Marco Polo team.

When both parties are available at different times.

It's just not the best app for me. When the first time I downloaded it had some voice change but since then it lacks.

So far the best app. Having lots of fun with friends and families. Instead of bored messages now you can dictate and sent over with your image .. it so much fun .

Great to use to chat with friends, but it sends me notifications saying that I ‘missed a message’, but there are no missed messages. Very annoying, I think it is lying just to try to get you to open the app so their app usage looks good.

This is mainly cause of my best friend… but still! So glad I’m able to FaceTime without facetiming. I can have a face to face conversation without having to do hours at a time. Thank you!

This used to be a great app. Over the years, they have rolled out a lot of features that have drastically improved it, but at an extremely high subscription. As they’ve increased the subscription, they have removed so many of the standard features that make the app user-friendly. Just a cash grab at this point.

I’ve used MP for years and it’s always been great up until a few months ago. Whatever they changed the “updating” takes a very long time. You’ll get the notification that you have a new one and even be able to see the transcript, but you open the app and it shows no new ones. If you wait through the “updating” it takes about 3-5 minutes and they’ll finally show up. Prior to that issue, I would’ve given it 5 stars. But it’s definitely a very frustrating change when you’re attempting to talk back and forth.

My videos upload sideways and upside down even though they are saved upright in my person photos folder. Also, notifications for responses (those tiny circle posts), do not lead me to view the response. Rather, the app crashes and I am left to wonder who left a response on my polo post and which one.
