Marker Match is a color matching utility for marker and colored pencil artists. Building marker and colored pencil collections can be expensive and many artist only buy new colors as they need them. Marker Match helps you find the closet real marker colors to the color you want. You can input a desired color in multiple ways and Marker Match will find the nine closest matches within a chosen product line. You can also cross match from one brand to another.
You can also save collections of markers (or palettes) to serve as a list of what you already own or want to pick-up on your next run to the art store.
Marker Match matches to multiple product lines including Copic, Prismacolor, Winsor & Newton, Faber-Castell, Letraset, Spectrum Noir, Touch Twin, Tombrow, Zig and Blick.

Like app, could use more brands
I love the way this app works! However, I have found new markers that are very high quality for their price and now are using those (Ohuhu Honolulu). I would love to see more marker brands added to the app. Right now I’m using Copic suggestions to give guidance, but as they often have different scales it is only sometimes useful. However, for anyone using copics or prismacolors this app is amazing!
Only App of its Kind!
There are no mobile apps that do what this app does. There are no web pages that can do this either. I have tried to create a simple crosswalk for the meager inventory of Copic, Blick, TomBow, Faber-Castell, and Chameleon markers—about 100 total—and gave up in frustration and exhaustion.
I have rudimentary Python programming skills; basic Natural Language Processing skills; intermediate Excel, Access, and Neo4j skills; and an unsurpassed intolerance for poor UI/UX design. I can assert with some degree of authority that this is worth 5 stars.
Already Dissapointed
Been playing with this for the past several hours, and I have to say, I’m already very disappointed with it. It keeps trying to lump a HUGE range of colors under one single match, it doesn’t allow for scrolling through the entire range of matches to see if there’s a better fit, and it seems to interpret every color as being much more gray than they really are. I’m already getting incredibly frustrated and irritated with this app, and I’ve had it less than a day.
Great App
My first review, ever. I was moved by the privacy policy alone to give 5 stars! Terrific product and super helpful. Was so excited to see Ohuhu markers coming soon. Wish there was a way for the community of users to expedite addition(s). Yet, Overall awesome. Thank you!
Upgrade suggestions
I like this app & it is easy to use. However, is there a way to look for substitutes between different brands? For example, if I could enter in a Copic marker and it could tell me which Spectrum Noir is the best match (or even which of the same brand re the best matches), this would make this app much more valuable to me. Also, I entered my Spectrum markers into this app, but found that I have many markers that are not listed in this app. Can it be upgraded to include all Spectrum colors, including the triblends?
Great app
This app really comes in handy when I’m at the art shop finding the right markers. Finding the exact colors I need. The only thing is that this app crashes when trying to swatch screenshot images. Trying to find out which colors of copic I already have in blicks.
I absolutely love this app
I love this app so much I find markers that I want but I would like to see if you could at masters touch markers I personally like those markers and I’m sure some other people would like that too
Color chart or color groups
I just started using this and there is a lot to like.
I only encountered one thing that made the interface difficult to use. When you search for a color by name or number, and find it....The button to select it is covered up. So it renders this function unusable. iOS keyboard cannot be moved out of the way (I think it’s stupid that Apple made the keyboard minimize button obsolete. They removed it). Perhaps the selection button could be moved to the top of the screen?
Wish list -
1) In order to truly love this app, I would really like to see a few that organized your marker collection by color group. Or showed you all of the swatches in a big chart. (The Copic marker app has both of these and it gives a lot more meaning and use.)
Basically, if I have gone to all the effort to input all of my markers, I would like to get to see all of them in different groupings to have a better visual on what I have. Having them in a list isn’t really doing that for me.
2) I thought that it was going to let me see all of my colors from different brands, together. To get an idea of my overall collection.
3) I also thought that the app was going to show me a spectrum, overall of all my markers. So that I could see where I had big gaps. Where the visual would be a long rectangular rainbow, with rectangles indicating the colors. Or something similar. So when you have many shades that are similar, it’s a smoother gradient. And when there is a jump between colors you get a block of flat color.
Again, I love the idea of this app. And it is useful for at least me and just documenting which colors I have.
I just find that without the features that I mentioned above, the usefulness is very limited. But with features like the above, I would find myself accessing this app all the time.
Great! but...
The app is an amazing tool for everyone especially beginners and budgeters but my problem with the app is that Ohuhu alcohol markers are not included. Most of my markers are ohuhu (120 set).
Please add affordable Alcohol Marker brands!!!
Love the idea of this app. I really wish you guys could add Ohuhu Markers to the list. They’re just as good for wayyyyy cheaper.. and allot of people are choosing Ohuhu’s over Copics now that they have brush tips.
