Märklin Product Catalog

All the reviews that say a charge is needed before you get the information are wrong, that might have been true for previous versions but definitely not true for the current version. And it works very well for the current catalog as well as a few previous versions, plus it works for new items updates and more. Good work Märklin!

Really Marklin?

Ok I can see charging a few $ for a printed catalog. But you want me to pay $3.00 to download a catalog to my phone? Really?

First, the app is advertised as free. Yes, it's free if you don't want to see the catalog! If you want to see more than the new items, you have to pay. Ok, but then say so before people download the app. Next, installing the new items does nothing. You can't see them. And the other features require you to sign up to use them. Since this app is set up so you can browse before you purchase some VERY expensive model trains, there needs to be some features to actually get and keep users interested. I'll try installing again in a year or so, when perhaps it will actually be useable.

I loaded the Marklin app, downloaded the free catalog of new items for 2012 but there does not appear to be a way to view this catalog. When I go to the catalog from the home screen the app asks me to download the catalog again.

Was für eine miese Nummer von Euch, die MainStation-App aus dem Programm zu nehmen. Ich habe dafür bezahlt und kann jetzt nach iPad-Wechsel die CS2 nicht mehr mobil steuern. Ich kaufe deswegen bestimmt keine CS3 - ESU baut auch gute Terminals :-(

aber warum können die Bilder nicht vergrößert werden? Völlig unverständlich, ist das idoch eine der großen Vorteile digitaler Medien. Das Marketing von Märklin sollte mal Kunden über die Schulter schauen. Diese kleinen Bilder animieren mich nicht zum Kauf sondern haben mich zu Gebrauchtartikeln gebraucht. Viele der Bilder zeigen Details, die man auf der offiziellen Seite vergebens sucht, gerade bei hochpreisigen Artikeln. Die Zeiten meiner Jugend, wo ich mir die Lokomotiven im Katalog mit einem Vergrößerungsglas angeschaut und dann lange gespart habe, sind für mich vorbei. Wenn ich heute bereit bin mehrere hundert Euro für ein einziges Modell auszugeben, dann möchte ich die Details vorher kennen. Sorry, mit dieser App kann man mich nicht gewinnen.
