Loved it. I want more …so casual and fun.

Thank God I got this app for free because I would be more than mad if I paid two dollars for a simple power management puzzle game with illogical puzzles and poor item management disguised as gameplay.

Stupid Game

No instructions on how to play. Not intuitive. Tried playing for 15 minutes. Will delete after I post this.

An absolute gem of a game

WOW I am just floored at how great this game is. The puzzles are great, the art is pretty, and I love the subtle storytelling. The game is very intuitive with no “tutorials” at all, the levels naturally develop and introduce you to new concepts without any text/assistance; including how you unlock bonuses! Some older reviews mention issues or suggestions that the developer seems to have really taken to heart, since I have had an amazing experience. I got this game for free (sale I guess?) but despite only being halfway through I will be finding a way to pay the creator because they absolutely deserve it for this. **spoilers** From the marks that began to be left behind by removed towers, to the slight changes in the buildings as you finish a level, culminating in Year 40 I was blown away. The Monolith puzzles too are a real treat both as a nod to 2001 and as more advanced puzzles.

I’m Lost, Needs A Better Tutorial

Mars Power, seems like a rad game to me so far. But, I’m just very confused as to how to play the video game really. I think I’m on Year 3 and it offers 3 power stations to place and one factory it looks like. I place one power station to the left of the factory and it powers it half way. Yet, there is stuff on the ground that doesn’t allow me to place a power station to the right of the factory. I can place it only like two spots away but that doesn’t help to power the right side of the factory so to speak. And the game just keeps highlighting the restart button like I’ve messed up, but it didn’t instruct me as to what I did wrong at all to help me learn. So frustrating in my opinion. So, I’m very disappointed and confused with what I would say is a lack of a proper tutorial. The game seems to want to instruct you in the beginning. But only in a very, very, very subtle way. I really have no idea what’s going or what I’m doing for the most part. I don’t need the games I play to hold my hand the entire time. But to me this game is going too much in the opposite direction of that. I know some players find charm in video games that completely leave you to your own devices to figure out how to play the title. But I’m not one of those players and right now I’d would prefer just a little more clarity as to what’s going on in Mars Power and what I’m supposed to be doing exactly please. I want to offer my thanks to the developer if they would consider re-working the initial stages a bit and to please give us more of a tutorial to teach us how to play the game properly. Yet, I still would like to also say thank you for the time and effort put into creating this video game. I wholly have enjoyed the aesthetics of the title and it looks like it could be lots of fun if I just had an initial chance to figure out what the heck I’m supposed to be doing in the game. Thanks, again, for this game, if you’ll consider my request for a more explained tutorial and God bless.

I Want To Understand the Story

It’s a nice, fun puzzle game that gave me a few hours of entertainment. However, I desperately want to understand what is going on with the lore. What’s the strawberry supposed to mean, what are those strange black boxes that open portals, what is that black goo, and what happened to the abandoned settlements that you start running into? I want to know, but I can’t seem to find much speculation about it online :(

Fun puzzles, inscrutable plot

The puzzles are at just the right level of difficulty where I feel like I’m Smart. There’s definitely a plot going on but damned if I have any idea what it is.

Poorly designed. Unchallenging.

There’s very little skill or thought required for this game.

Great fun

I got really stuck on one level, but with a hint from the devs I got unstuck and finished. I enjoyed it enormously. This version of Mars is suitably dangerous, yet the game is not a dark one. I hope they add to it.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Get all your strawberries and finish the game and see an ending that is reminiscent of the ending of the aforementioned movie. The reviewers who said the game was too easy apparently gave up and didn’t play all the way through the game. This is a fun game with no scores or timers. The background music is very unobtrusive and relaxing. The graphics are minimalist and retro - both good things. The Halloween update with the dancing skeletons was a hoot. All 5 stars are well deserved.
