Massage Envy

I agree with others. Generally ok, but for sure needs 2 things fixed: 1. Something changed and now every time I open the app, it asks me to change my calendar privacy settings. The settings are how I want which is “Add items only”. I’m not sharing access to my other, unrelated events. Stop asking. 2. The app never stays logged in and doesn’t fully use FaceId. It makes me search the passwords app each time to authenticate. This makes it more difficult to use than my banking app. Everything else works how you’d expect although I’d also like the ability to cancel appointments in advance without having to call the store.

I would have imagined the app was to make it easy to set appointments. It doesn’t. It makes you jump through a million hoops to make a simple appointment. Then if you change locations you jump through all of them again - and they’re all about upselling you stuff you don’t want. It also doesn’t use the filters. You ask for therapists that do Deep and they list all therapists so you have to manually wade through them to find what you want. While my therapist has her schedule established several months out -and is booked at least 8 weeks out - the app is useless. It only has a view of the next 6 weeks or so. Around here everyone is already booked solid in that timeframe so my only option is to make appointments over the phone. It also says in the App Store that this is an iPad app. Yet it only works in Portrait mode on an iPad, so for the gazillions of iPad owners who have keyboard cases that hold the iPad in Landscape mode you cannot use the app.

I can grant access to the app to only add appointments. However, it won't let me unless I grant full calendar access. Apple's QA team must audit these caveats to protect the privacy and security of the users.

This app is not even functionally basic. Appointments cannot be updated or cancelled via the app. No appointments added to calendar without full calendar access. No ability to manage yearly plan. Better design and operational team needed.

It is 2024. There is no reason why you should have to manually login an app by entering in a username and password. There is nothing sensitive about booking a massage so it shouldn’t log you out every time that you close the app. It’s ridiculous. You can’t even save your credentials so I mostly use the website because at least I can have Chrome or Safari save my credentials.

I’m a pretty tech savvy person and I recently joined Massage Envy and I was very disappointed in quite a few aspects of the app. I will list them in order not of importance just as I’m remembering them (1) no facial recognition for logging in, (2) you can’t cancel an appointment from the app, (3) you can’t leave feedback on a specific therapist, (4) you can’t book far enough in advance if you wanna stay with one person and book them for a long series. To be honest, the logging in issue is one of my biggest pet peeves in 2024 we should be able to login without having to constantly put in your email address and password. PLEASE FIX! Thx. 🙏🏻

Why create an app if I have to login manually every time? Why can’t you setup Face ID?

App can be used to make an appointment. Also lets me know who the person is that is providing the service, which is great. It isn’t really great for members. I’ve been a member for over 8 years. I wish that it would provide me how many points I have. And provide me with the price of the massage (member’s rate). This is app is one of the reasons I am considering canceling my membership.

I like using the app to book appointments wish it had a feature to use Face ID and would show how many credits I had. Also the ability to transfer credits. Never had any problems with booking everything goes smooth and it shows $0 when I am using a credit.

Would be 5 stars but I need to see how many credits I have. I don’t always get into a location every month so I build up credits in your system but I don’t have access to that information in the app. Can you please update the app to include the amount of credits for an account? The locations can look it up but who wants to call them up when I can do ALMOST everything else on the app.
