I’m getting ready to start training for my next assignment on a ship. This is an easy to use tool. I was just looking for the COLREGS test questions, but the Review modules are extremely helpful. It’s like having a high level Maritime Rules of the Road instructor on your phone.

I couldn’t just read COLREGS and make it stick to my brain for sheee, thank god for this app and the creators of this dynamic way of memorizing rule by rule. Because if your going to be navigating a multi million-billion dollar ship make sure you have this memorized to the T!

Good way to go about learning the rules as they’re broken down into sections in a way that could assist in learning them by heart better. The pictures and overall layout is nice and the UI is simple and effective. Lights observations, the wording could be a lot better for some of these, missing out some crucial aspects on how we should formulate proper answers to orals questions for UK exams at least. There should be more situational questions that would be framed in the same way you would expect in an orals exam e.g identify vessel, identify the situation, identify the action and under which rule you are taking action.

At first I found this app to be fairly daunting when I opened it. There are approximately 68 different sections to learn. However, once I got started I found the app to be very informative, as easy to understand as colreg rules can be and I also like the different style of questions. In summery, I think this app is very useful for anyone considering EDH, AB or Cadetship.

Doing my oral prep. This App really helped - loads of questions, with quick access to the rule that the question is about.
