Mazec offers you handwriting input as an alternative to your keyboard within any app on your device. If you want to write an email, make a social post or quickly jot your notes, mazec handwriting input technology offers you a speedy alternative to handwrite the message instead of using a keyboard.
The Mazec handwriting input method app offers extremely accurate handwriting recognition and predictive text to intelligently guess your handwriting on the fly. It even allows you to enrich the dictionary with your own favorite terms and phrases, or your favorite URL’s and email addresses.
Mazec handwriting input method for iOS saves you time writing emails, notes and social posts. Instead of fumbling with a keyboard (which often causes you to use both hands), with mazec all input can be completed with the touch of a finger. Amazing handwriting detection, but some improvements needed
Been using Nebo to take notes which is a fantastic app. However I found I just wanted to take my notes directly in google docs so they were all in one place. This app allows me to do this which is fantastic and the recognition is just as good as Nebo. The only thing that lets this app down are some of the best parts of nebo, such as quick gestures like scribbling through a word to remove it, or the ability to see your output in real time and then click on a word to see other options. There's about a 2 second delay to see the text convert on this keyboard and you have two outputs: one where the sentence appears at the top and another version below where each word is shown separately with three dots next to each word to give you options to change the word. Compared to Nebo this is much more cumbersome and you see so much less of what you are writing on screen, so it is much slower to correct errors. If I could have the real time Nebo text display and edit options. And the ability to only make marks with the stylus so hand gestures could be used to swipe and navigate back and forth across the sentence that would be great (the current arrow system to navigate your sentence doesn't feel intuitive and means I keep drawing marks with my fingers). It would also be good if unconverted handwriting didn't erase if you swap apps. I doubt these are easy things to develop, but this is a great tool and I want to use it all the time, but still find myself using other solutions
Terrible
Picks the odd word up correctly but mostly garbled. Completely unusable in any sensible way.Bought it outright first time. Money wasted. If you just want a bit of fun maybe but otherwise I’d avoid it
Smart Keyboard
Every time I try to use Mazec, with my keyboard attached, it fails to load.
Exceptional App.
I have bought loads of Apps but I don't normally write reviews. But this App stands out so greatly that I have to comment on it. I can say I own all the advanced handwriting recognition Apps but none of them come close to this one. Apart from errorless transcription,- it also gives you the ability to write straight in to whatever app you would like. With this App who needs a keyboard- when you can simply write unto where ever you want. It is worth every penny paid for it and much more. No one who buys this app will regret it.
Exactly what iPad Pro needs
The fact that this is a keyboard and not an app means that all the apps I use on a daily basis now recognise my handwriting. It's almost flawless and it means Evernote or OneNote have a new lease of life with Apple Pencil. You've probably guessed that this entire review was handwritten. (2 mistakes to correct)
Not bad, but not quite perfect.
Mazec is another write, recognize and insert keyboard, with US spelling only (but I use UK spellings). It is based on MyScript and the accuracy is good, but there is no auto-insert option: you have to select the correctly recognised text to insert it, which makes it slow. And as you write, there's a little pop up icon showing where the next space will be inserted, which is FANTASTICALLY annoying. Shame, because in most other respects it is better than MyScript stylus: hope they keep developing it.
Excellent
This is a surprisingly fantastic app. I struggle to read my own handwriting but this app does it with ease. You need a little care at first but after a short while it is very good. Ideal for writing into email or text or other short uses. Less so for longer spells of note taking as it converts as you write and sometimes you feel you would just like to get on and keep writing, especially if there is a lot to write. However, dont be put off by that, It is so good at converting notes to text you do not need to go back very often to correct.
