This App is UNUSABLE! Every time I log in and try to view something, it crashes.
Sooo…I'm not one to throw an organization that is attempting to help people pay medical bills under the bus, but this is literally the worst healthcare app I have ever used. Medi-Share should spend some money and time improving if they want to retain members and have a useful member experience in the digital age. I will preface this by saying I've part of and connected directly to UI/UX development teams most of my career. So, maybe my standards are way too high. The app is not impossible to navigate. It's just that there isn't really anything useful there. The dashboard doesn't show much other than your annual sharing amount (they call this the Household Portion). While the post Feed feature is nice, it's not nearly important enough to an app user to make it the second icon menu option displayed. And, it has a LOT of content in it. Too much, really. Also, the header menu items in each segment are grayed out, making it appear they are unavailable to the app user. They should be in another color or font face or blocked out in a box or whatever, just not grayed out. The second main icon menu item is Explore. It's a bunch of ghost-written content. Interesting if you have time to read it, but not a high priority for someone using the app. It looks like fluff that was out there because there isn't much else in the app. There isn't. Telehealth, the next menu icon, works ok. They've made some improvement here recently. But candidly, the web version works much better. It's really difficult to navigate the app scheduling system. Once you go down a provider funnel, you're kind of stuck there. Going back requires multiple steps, which seems unnecessarily complicated. In setting up your health profile, if you have to answer any questions with actual information, the navigation process is atrocious. Every time you fill out a response, the app essentially boots you back to the main telehealth menu. It's a disaster, frankly, and makes using this feature extremely frustrating, because you then have to tunnel back down to where you left off and pray the info you entered stuck (it usually does, the app just gives you the impression it crashed or something with zero confirmation of your last entry). The Account menu icon leads to a page that has, essentially, nothing on it. Instead of a dashboard, which would seem intituive, there is just a text menu for navigation from there. When I go to the chat function, no one EVER answers so I don’t know if it’s faulty or if everyone is “working” from home. When I select “contact member services” I can type a message but there is no way to send it. If I press the enter button it goes to the next line. There is no “submit” or “send” button. I’m starting to think they have abandoned updating this app. When I send them an email, no one responds…..I’m starting to get concerned about Medi-Share.
Screen goes white every time I try to see what the app is like. I’m using an I-phone 12 Pro.
I’ve tried to make a couple different telehealth appointments this morning. The first couple times I kept getting an error message when I tried to submit. It won’t let me upload photos. I successfully made two appointments but then five minutes later got an email saying that I missed my appointment phone call. I had no missed calls and no blocked calls nothing ever came in. This occurred last time I tried to use the app as well which was several months ago. So nothing has changed or been updated.
The version history shows that it hasn’t been updated for at least a year, which probably explains why features aren’t working correctly. Even more critical though is the security updates that haven’t been made! Members confidential information is shown and accessible on this app, without updates that information could be accessible to hackers. Please update and fix this app!

I cannot even begin to describe the level of frustration this company/ministry has continually caused our family. From multiple bills being sent to collections for failure to process which risked ruining our credit to total negligence and lack of responsibility from anyone on their support team (even managers & supervisors). You know you have a problem when collections is more helpful to work with you on medical bills than a ministry. And when you tell collections you work with Medishare, their response is “Oh, that company. Yeah we know all about them…” Do the yourself a favor and get real health insurance.
I can type it out, but there is no way to send questions. I have been trying for 2 weeks. They stopped sharing my bills, convenient time for this function. It to work
We had an all around terrible experience with medi share. Ultimately felt like we donated money every month and got nothing back for a year. So we’re out the cost of our medical bills and our monthly membership costs. If I would have just put the monthly cost towards the bill, we wouldn’t be in such a financial crisis. Learn from me. Do not make the same mistake.
