Be Careful
I would definitely recommend not posting anything slightly controversial in the comment section because I just received a permanent ban. I have no idea what I said to get me banned, nor had I received a prior warning. When I tried responding to the email stating so it would not go through to the developers. I don’t understand why either because I guarantee I did not say anything as offensive as to what some people have posted.
Great app
Everything is great. Even with the new UI update. Although comments can get cut off and there’s no way to see them
Ads on top of ads
I can be scrolling and not even touch ads and it will still force my phone to open webpages! I’ve had pro for almost 10 years and after switching to iphone I regret using this ap, android to ios will not transfer paid version regardless if you login to your account! Find a new meme app cause this one is dead and full of predatory ads, countless emails have gone unanswered!
Auto Play Videos/GIFs
Turning off the auto play GIFs doesn’t work. They’ll still start playing as you’re scrolling past them. Aside from that, solid app. Ads are incredibly annoying but, that’s to be expected these days on any mobile app.
Used this app for nearly 15 years
Memedroid will never get more stars from me until they evict their moderator team. Go back to the oldest posts and you’ll see line after line of ‘This comment has been deleted.’ These soulless freaks have ruined what was a window of time into the history of memes and the internet.
Change it back to how the old setup was!
I’m giving it one star because this became useless after the changed the load out instead of checking out the memes one by one now you have to swipe up and the worst part is that their is more ads then ever! Would not recommend
Just switched to vertical
I prefer the side swipe version. They should make it an option. The vertical scroll is too convoluted and you can no longer zoom in on the memes that have small font, which is a lot of them. Another issue with vertical scrolling is the ads are too sensitive. When scrolling, it always opens the ads for no reason. I don’t click on them, I am just dragging up the scroll, and it opens safari all the time. It is very annoying and frustrating, and time wasting. I doubt you’ll fix it though because your ads think they are getting all these clicks, but instead they get broken metrics.
Conservative echo chamber
Every meme on here is painfully unfunny. Full of misogyny and reminiscent of a thanksgiving dinner in an obscure American small town. I wonder how this app ended up being this way.
No Usernames
No matter how many times I try when making an account, it always says that the username I selected is already taken. I literally just typed in random letters and it still says that username is taken. I just want to look at memes and rate them :(
