Merge Camp - Cute Animal Fun

TL;DR - Cute and enjoyable merge game, entirely optional ads (with a no-ad payable option ofc), but has a few microtransactions that I think are a bit scummy. I found this game off TikTok because i have a bad habit of downloading every single cute game they throw my way. For starters, I really enjoy this game and don't have any plans on stopping. I wasn't sure i'd enjoy merge games with how often unappealing ads like to shove them down my throat, but I actually really enjoy this one. The art style is cute (very inspired by Animal Crossing), and the little stories you can unlock with merging the character's related items have been really cute and enjoyable. Another thing I appreciate is that there are no forced ads. All ads are optional and there is a paid option disable them, albeit a bit expensive for my tastes, but the fact that the ads are already optional doesn't really deter me from the price. Now for the cons I have. I'm not a big fan of the cooldown that the item boxes have (like the fruit basket, etc.). I usually just end up leaving my phone on while doing something else until the specific box I need is opened again. I know you can pay gems to have them auto-refill, but it's not worth it considering the other things you can spend gems on (like the item clone bubbles, storage space, etc.) I feel like since the game already limits how long you can play with energy, having cooldowns on the boxes is just an unnecessary time-gated mechanic encouraging you to spend more gems. The biggest con I have for this game is that the game will give you a cool item for free, not tell you its a free trial for a paid product, and then ask you to pay real money (not gems or anything) to continue using it, thus clogging up your board and inventory unless you decide to fork over the money to use it or just end up selling it and losing it permanently. This has happened to me twice now with the merge box and the matryoshkas. The game decided not to tell me that opening the rest of the matryoshkas would cost $4.99USD until AFTER I had waited for the multi-day (IRL day not in-game day or anything) cooldown. I would much rather the game tell me that I'm being given a free trial for an item either before or once I start using it than tell me multiple days after I've started using it and gotten used to it. I feel like this is a really scummy tactic and is the only thing that's made me consider not playing the game or putting any more money into it. Aside from

This game lists prices and then charges you so much more after the purchase goes through. I bought one of the holiday passes that was listed as $13 and it charged me $35!!!!!! do not buy anything from this game!!!!

Once you start getting higher in the levels the game obviously gets harder, but once you reach level 18 it’s almost impossible to complete quests. I’ve been stuck on level 18 for almost 2 weeks now and I’ve gotten nowhere, it like they try and make it hard so you buy items to progress father into the game.

I'm stuck on a construction request for Momo because none of the requests are including a construction box... its been two days. Game is cute and I like it, but its frustrating when it glitches like this.

I am absolutely addicted to this game! The graphics are adorable and it has gotten me interested into these kind of merge games again! I still go into this game first! The only thing I would change is when you purchase the AD free version I wish I could still watch ads when I have used up all of the ad free coupons! It’s a win win for customer and game devs 😊oh, and I think you should eventually open another merge board. It starts getting super full to manage after the food comes into play.

Why am I being served ads involving child abuse, open wounds, and infections? I feel sick seeing these ads as an adult. The fact a kid could easily come across these while playing is incredibly concerning.

This game starts off with cute graphic, and giving me the feeling of animal crossing! Which I love!!!! The merging is smooth, a long with a tiny, yet adorable story line! And it’s nice that the first 300 to 400 energy are free so you get a good feel for the game before you wait on the other power ups! I recommend this game is you need a casual click around, boredom game! It’s entertaining, and calm!

Game glitched cant even get to the first level

I tried buying one of their booster pack things and it glitched, so i tried again. Not only did i get charged TWICE, i never got the energy pack i was buying. I requested a refund and my refund got denied. Ripped me off 13$, which isn't a lot but it's still annoying to pay for something you hadn't received.
