This is a lovely app to use. If you’re coming to the fediverse from another social media site, this is your gateway. Feed is simple and chronological, reactions are easy to use, DMs can be found in the usual place. Love the design - super intuitive. However, loading the feed is very glitchy; some days I can’t see any content at all, all day! Also, only a section of the feed loads and you have to click “see more” after scrolling it, which feels archaic. I stick with it because it’s free and easy. But if I can find something else free before the loading bug is fixed, I will move, because it is a big problem.

The best app for mastodon ever, contains every essential feature and the UI design is minimal. And it’s for free. I just really hope the developer can come back and update this once in a while, because sometimes the app crashes and pops up an error message.

No fuss, no mess. It works and works well. No extras to pay for…what I like.

When doing searches, it seems to want to do a live update with every new character I press which bans me from the server for a while. Searching #mastodon for example will search for # then #m then #ma, #mas #mast etc. by which time it’s too many requests and the server will put my account in timeout. It’s perfect for reading because it has never successfully played a video once. I bookmark posts with videos so I can either watch them in another app or on my computer. It’s such a shame these two problems exist, because it’s so close to being the perfect app.

I really love the app and it saved me from missing out on the wonder of Mastodon and the Fediverse. My one issue at the moment is a lack of notifications on iPhone 13. Unsure why this happening. I have notifications on. I think this may have been since the last update. Other than that, this is great 🫶🏾

This app does everything well. I quite like the official app but this is cleaner, supports image rotations and is generally quicker.

Better than the default Mastodon app and easier than running from a browser …
