MetroTransit DC

This application provides information about Washington DC transit. It locates nearest transit stops, provides real-time GPS-tracked transit arrival predictions, shows transit alerts, transit vehicles locations, and complete route information. All this information is displayed on a customizable map, you can choose as much information to display.

The stops can be displayed in two different views:
o Map view
This view uses your current location and locates the nearest stops, which are then displayed on the map. You can select a stop to see the routes or lines served by that stop & real time arrival estimates or schedule. Changing the region displayed by the map shows the stops available within that region.
o List view
This view displays the stops as a list grouped by transit agency.
By selecting a stop or train station from either the map or the list view you can view the transit arrival time estimates or schedule for that stop.
This application is designed with an intuitive and effective UI that provides a plethora of functionality, which is helpful to both the savvy DC commuters and tourists.
