Password characters are very restricted and what’s worse is that you can’t simply paste in your password or access iphone passwords to auto complete it. What’s more, outside of urban, where we live, environments the app can’t communicate with the car. No such problems with the Land Rover app.

A lot of feedback for MG regarding the bugs with this app to which I agree. I have scheduled a charge during the night when the tariff is cheapest to find the car has started charging already. I stop the charge, exit the app, go back 5 minutes later and it’s charging again!

Used this app yesterday, today I’m logged out and the app does not recognise my password so had to reset my password. Not good, doesn’t even support password managers so you can paste in the difficult to remember password. Poor

When you try to use the travel button the app immediately crashes, it’s been like this since I picked up the car in March 23 no sign of a fix also could do with improvements on the charging schedule and battery warming why can’t we fix a time every day it’s frustrating to have to redo the time every day.

for the price MG 4 is a brilliant car and the app completes all the important things you may need to know from the comfort of home . Being able locating your vehicle in an unfamiliar location has been very useful when holidaying.

Worked for a couple of weeks before it decided not to! Now I can’t get it to rebind with the car (MG4 Trophy) Very disappointing. Will try asking the dealer if they can get it back, but this is really a poor app. MG should use more resources on their IT issues.

Unreliable

Pointless when current R33 update doesn’t let you activate the head unit and then you can’t crate QR to bind your vehicle to the app, completely pointless!

Much like others, find some of functions don’t work from time to time. Needing to scan the car to update range calculations etc. having to input pin several times to do simple tasks within minutes of each other… why can’t it give a timeframe before asking for pin again! My biggest bugbear is the Alarm setting, it’s never worked, just a spinning circle of rejection. Hopefully fixed on next update. However on saying all this, when it’s working it’s very good.

App has stopped working over the weekend and won’t refresh, not linking to the car, can’t manage the charging or do anything. Have tried logging out and back in, locking and unlocking the car, nothing works. No explanation from MG what is happening, Sort it out!
