This is a free app download. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues.
Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

Very buggy

This app has become extremely buggy after iOS 13 update would not use this app in its current state for iPad iOS 13+ users ... Unable to access any of my paid for magazines and also I have removed and reloaded the app in order to try and fix the App but made no difference ...very sad I can’t get access to the magazines I have already paid for ...not really good enough !

There are no words to describe how much enjoyment from every build / review I read .. The information is easy reading (I.e. no one is trying to teach you the type of stuff that would instantly cause one’s jaw to make gentle contact with one’s chest just before the rasp and whistle of snoring makes its presence known. You certainly don’t have to be a great modeller to read this stuff, just an interested one.

Still out of focus and bad on the eyes since ios5. Pocket mags have addressed this with things like Tamiya magazine but this remains an unpleasant experience at this time.

The Best Digital Magazine for Scale Modelers

I have been using this since its inception. Excellent to start and just gets better. Intelligent and well written articles accompanied by brilliant photography. What's not to like?

I enjoy this mag so much and learn so much from it. It's great to have it in electronic format so I don't have to keep the printed back issues.

Colors and resolution gets screwed up when zooming in...

Basically, every time I zoom in to look at detail, the colors get dark and the resolution gets weird. Then even if I zoom out, it stays poor until I flip to another page then come back. I'd rather have a physical copy.

This is a great magazine, but the app to read it repeatedly freezes and needs to be re-installed. Fix the bugs, and it will be well worth it.

One of my biggest complaints with this app was the inability to pinch to zoom and pan at the same time. This is a small thing, but one that makes iOS devices such a joy to use. However, in the latest update, this is implemented, and I'm positively thrilled. Also, the tiresome page flipping animation has been removed, and this is an improvement. The magazine content is excellent, and now that the friction points in the app have been removed, I can't recommend this app highly enough.
