Great if you listen to many shows

I've been looking for an iOS replacement for Podcast Addict for years and this is by far the closest. It's a bit feature-light but I haven't seen any bugs yet and the "groups" feature is exactly what I wanted: an easy way to organize my dozens of subscriptions.

Mimir, the one to rule them all

… or at lease make listening to podcasts and managing playlists much easier. I appreciate how easily I can create a queue of episodes on one platform and then pick it up on another.

Continued Bugginess Holds Mimir Back

I really like the layout and design of the Mimir app. Unfortunately it continues to have bugs that make it a less-than-ideal experience. For example, when opening the app in CarPlay, the “Now Playing “ app often won’t play; a work-around that sometimes works is to manually play the next podcast episode, than go back. Another example: when managing podcast episodes (especially if you’re managing several at a time), the player interface may freeze momentarily or not reflect your changes. This often necessitates restarting Mimir. All of the little quirks together add up to an often frustrating experience. Finally, I like the recent swipe interface changes to play next/last, and Mark as played/remove from playlist. That said, I’d like to see that expanded to the Now Playing/Next screen instead of only being accessible within each individual podcast.

Excellent app

I use it to download podcast onto an MP3 player. It's easy to use.

Best Podcast app

Tried at least a half dozen podcast apps. Mimir is the best so far. Syncs flawlessly between my Mac mini and iphone. Lets you import and export OPML file (list of podcasts). Just get it; you won't be sorry, it's great.

Glad to Find Very Good Podcast App

After using Mimir for the better part of a year, i've come to enjoy its layout, ideas and relaiability. I've listened to podcasts for 18 years, since 2005, and iit's often hard to find a reliable and good podcast app, don't know why. Mimir is the best i've found. I mostly use it for aggregating podcasts. I especially like the archive feature. Also helpful are the auto downloads. A plus would be if i could rename the podcasts in the podcast list. This would enable better sorting and syncing with other apps that share the same file system. This way all the podcasts begining their title with "The" won't be grouped together. When discovering podcasts it'd be really, really, really nice if i could obviate podcasts that have no episodes, or podcasts that are no longer maintained.

Best I’ve used, only missing widgets

Mimir is a great podcast app. I use the continuous play feature all the time, with a per-show limit of 1 or 2 episodes (depending on the show). It’s something most other pod catchers don’t allow for and it mixes it up exactly how I like. Now that CarPlay is supported, the only missing feature for my needs is a Home Screen widget.

Hey! I'm really enjoying this app you made. It's so much fun to use with 0 issues. :D

Great podcast app, no Apple Watch app or widgets.

A great podcast app with perhaps the best sync I’ve experienced in a podcast app, but a shame it doesn’t currently have an Apple Watch app or any widgets.

Great podcast player

After Apple changed the UI for their podcasts app in a way that I didn't like, I started looking for a replacement. Mimir was it, and I couldn't be happier. I see the latest episodes for each podcast I subscribe to. I don't see the old ones unless I explicity look for them. And I can manually set up playlists for the ones I want to listen to. Additionally, I can play them at higher speed (I prefer 2x for most of them), allowing me to get through a day's worth of podcasts without spending all day in front of the computer.
