Binaural beats are great and they work for most people but we found that other methods tend to be more effective and more flexible, such as Isochronic tones.
Technical Description of isochronic beats:
Isochronic tones are regular beats of a single tone used for brainwave entrainment. The interference pattern that produces the beat is outside the brain so headphones are not required (use with a dock), but since isochronic tones are more pronounced, the stimuli is even stronger with the use of headphones/ear buds.

Isochronic Is Better Than Binaural In Many Situations
This is great for me. I would recommend it to anyone.
Sometimes, usually when you first start using these sounds, you need to run a sound for about a minute or so to see if that’s the sound you need at the time. (Eventually you know what you want.)
Yes in the beginning they can start off making you a little uncomfortable for the first 30/40 seconds… after a minute or two you pretty much know.
I use:
Stress Relief
Energy and Motivation
Pre-exercise Session (great for the unmotivated but necessary dog walk)
Anxiety Reduction
Hypertension Reduction
I use the Stress Relief a lot.
Here’s the best thing I have recently found… playing sound in the background, literally in my pocket, on my lap, hand or open purse, while in conversations with naturally difficult people. Like doctors and their staff—makes easier conversations. Stress relief is great for that!
(No body notices the sound.)
Negative tech support? Put your phone on speaker and play it another device in the background.

Best way is to turn a sound on, put it in the background and check back with your mood in a few minutes. It’s okay… play with it!
Yes an update might be nice. It would be nice to have a sleep timer. You can set your phone’s timer to, “Stop Playing” if you only want a sound to affect you for only a few hours when you go to bed.
Note: if you play, Hypertension Reduction all night, you can wake up with no brain power.
I wish the developer would do a relaunch of this app. If more people knew about it, especially now that we’re post-2020, the world might be a little less jerkish.
Useless App Now
This app will no longer play through Bluetooth or Apple devices. Not loud enough through the phone alone. I used to use this app nightly. I can’t recommend this app any more.

Love This App
I use Mindwave very regularly. The Sub-Delta frequency is my favorite. Very soothing and takes me out of any negativity and deeper into my core. Brainstorming & Creativity is also a great composition. Thank you for making it!
Bluetooth causes the app to crash
App works fine when the Bluetooth is off. As soon as Bluetooth is on it crashes. This is fairly consistent with other things I’ve been reading about this current build of the app. Had I known about this before I never would’ve downloaded this app.

Every time I try to start a tone it won’t exits the app! Refund?
New and worse for it
I’ve had this app for years in the old version and bought again this version as the original was no longer compatible with newer iOS. This new version is a major downgrade, still lacking the timer function and way worse user interface. Now I also find it doesn’t work with airbuds!
Was a must-have, but not anymore
The last update, which was last year, essentially ruined the app.
Jacob said the timer would be coming back soon, but it’s been a year and still no timer.
No info on how long the sessions are designed for...especially the deeper ones.
I hope it gets fixed soon.
